I have a fever without any other symptoms. My doc says it's a virus. It's very weird to just have a fever. It goes up to 103 and I knock it down to 101

It is true that sometimes a virus can cause a fever. The fever is the body's way of trying to fight the infection off.

If you are not comfortable about what your dr has said then I would recommend getting a second opinion but preferably from someone that is not in the same office as that of the dr that you currently see.

OOOOH! Playing with a fever is dangerous! I don't mean that in a mean way - what I'm saying is your doctor should have prescribed something to get rid of it completely. It can damage the brain if it keeps it up and/or gets too hot. BECAREFUL!!

ya either that or it is the dreaded swine flu, i just had the flu i had a temp, cold, nasty cough, chills and headache so its a good chance it is the flu. Go to your doctor and take the swine flu test by blowing your nose onto a cue tip, i know its nasty but better safe than sorry, get reg. medicine if you have the regular flu because it still sucks, Good Luck!
