Convince the judge you realize you screwed up. Maybe, just maybe, he'll cutyou some slack. But don't count on it.

You do realize you did a bonehead thing?

odds are your Lic is at present suspended and also you've were given a warrant. i'm constructive the notification is interior the mail...that's going to take some weeks to get to you. i'd advise calling the courtroom and coping with this ASAP, earlier you get stuck driving with a suspended Lic..it extremely is a criminal offense in a lot of states. an entire new ballgame from a site visitors violation. If the fee ticket became issued in a state the position you do not stay, occurring your ,ocal police is unnecessary. they'd haven't any records and would provide you no longer some thing, except perhaps to run your Lic for a suspension. the in problem-free words those who can help you at this aspect is the courtroom that you probably did not seem at. once a fee ticket is in courtroom, even the cop who wrote it may no longer do a aspect. Get on line, get the courtroom clerks telephone decision (on the courtroom YOU did not seem AT) call them at 9AM tommorow. Odds are they're going to easily reschedule you or allow you to comprehend what you opt to do.

The Officer is only required to appear if his testimony is required. Most of the time, Officers are in court because of the multitude of citations written. If the Office is not in court, and a trial is deemed necessary, then the case is continued so the Officer can be present. Go to court with your best attitude, and depending on your driving record, someone might make you an offer you can't refuse.

I suggest you go to traffic school and see if that can get points knocked off and possibly reduce the charge because if you go to court you will probably lose if you got clocked. You can do traffic school through blockbuster and take a test. It costs about 45 dollars give or take. Check into it.

Yes it matters if the police officer shows up (he has to state/swear in court he saw you speed)

Try talking to the officer and see if you can take a defensive driving class. usually there are options to assist. (what's your history?)

check the ticket. if the cop didn't sign his name, or forgot to put the date, i think the ticket can be thrown out because it makes it invalid.

30 over is probably reckless driving, not speeding. You will probably lose your license
