Glad you asked! It is not according to us, our guide and instruction book is the Law of God, as we walk by faith. Our code of conduct comes from Exodus 20.. 1st and 2nd Timothy among others and 1st Corinthians 13. The Ten Commandments include the first four belonging to God the others are for our conduct towards each other. You may also want to look at Leviticus 16 and Deuteronomy 28. It is also part of the Legal system, the reason Why you cannot be tried in the dead of night in secret or incriminate yourself in the Bill of Rights which also was taken from Hammurabic or Hamurrabi's law, making it a secular document.

I do not think there are really any laws. When a new situation comes up, I know what I should do (a virtual law in me) that guides my actions. Point I make: There is guidance there but no law exists, unless I were asked at the time by someone like you to write out the explanation of my guidance. So, I would say "grace." But this involves linkage with the heavenly powers. A real linkage, not some membership in earthly organizations of any type, even including religious. These are beneficial in ways to many people though. We have also a linkage to our earthly governments. These do have laws and they are properly written down, but usually not properly taught. Lawyers tend to know more about them. Ignorance of the law is no excuse, but I think it really should be if people are taught nothing about them. Ignorance should be mitigating, at least. Need a course Laws & Ethics, far more important than the Government course which has little if anything valuable or unknown in it, imbeciles excluded. Need a course Financial Managment (for home or person, not business). High School for these. Governments not having grace. Having more merciless penalties. Fairness needing improvements. Now sometimes one meets a very difficult situation, perhaps on a topic where there is a dearth of wisdom. I may be very unsure about correct choice, or even have NO IDEA, that is possible. This is an instance of prayer. You have to ask for what you want, And you don't always get what you want! BUT: I think all my requests for info were answered, but not always immediately. Yeah, I know that I do not think like a lawyer. I already know that. You could also say they do not think like me. To say the least...

The Christian rule, according to Jesus, is to love one another. This means loving your neighbor (i.e. the people you find yourself among, not just the people you are familiar with). It even means loving your enemies, doing good even to those who would harm you. The idea is that by showing a better way to live and act, you will eventually communicate the idea to others. It goes somewhat beyond the Golden Rule, repaying evil with good in the hope that it will catch on. Many Christians have difficulty following this rule.

If you are a professed atheist, why do you care about what the Christians can and cannot do? Will the information provide you with better flaming capabilities against the christian. I hate the kinds of questions....they are insincere and belligerent.

Whether you do anything or not do anything you are on the same road without true help. Your acts of kindnesses are as filthy rags in God's eyes. The only thing that can save you is the substitute penalty that Christ paid on your behalf is the only thing that will work for you, that is believing in that total outpouring of love for you and repenting. Why for heaveens sake allow your pride get in the way of His love for you. The only thing that will work is putting on His righteousness by repentance. Do it and do it now!!!

An easier question is what ARE you allowed to do?
According to christianity, those who do not follow their practices are not allowed to live
When referring to "transgressors" the bible says "thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" at the time, a witch was anyone who practiced or believed something other than what was considered "correct" in the eyes of the hebrew people. So, I guess that, according to christians, you and i are pretty well screwed.

The Lord simply wants you to love Him and for you to allow Him to lead you. If He is in your heart, you will know when you are doing right and wrong. Christians are called to (Romans 12:9) Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.
We are not to judge, we are to build up one another, and we are to love our enemies.

Romans 10:9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Love the Lord your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and then love your neighbor as you love yourself.

To begin with just consider that anything you might enjoy is probably a sin .
Then here is the drill :
Sin, confess, repent, get saved, sin again and repeat the process. Ah and don't forget to tithe a lot. Well, that about covers it...
