How can you tell what your mind is saying and what your heart is telling you? Its pretty hard to determine when your mind does all of the thinking. - . -

"Heart" and "mind" are just metaphors for our subconscious/intuition and our conscious thought. Your "heart" is what you feel - it's the stuff you can't neccesarily prove or justify. Your "mind" is your reason.
Both your heart and mind can help you decide whether or not you're attracted to someone. Most of the time, attraction is subconscious - we don't measure someone's height, do a computer check to see if they're well proportioned, or check the labels on their clothes to see if they're in fashion. Rather, we get an overall impression of someone and we can instantaneously say if we find them attractive or not. Also, as we get to know someone, we build up a pattern of understanding about them: as we understand their personality or their character, we begin to get a "feel" for what they are like as a person, and this is how we derive feelings of trust and love.
Our mind is alert to anomalies from general patterns. Is you trust someone, but lately they've been doing things that seem out of character, our conscious mind is the first thing to pick up on it. Our mind helps us to assemble new information, before it is absorbed more fully into our subconscious. If you have conscious doubts about whether or not you like someone, it's because there are things about them that your mind hasn't yet been able to organise into that person's overall pattern in your subconscious. It's possible that if you get to know this person more, that you will know for sure one way or another. :)

Sometimes its hard to tell the difference, but if you truly like someone, you will know. When it comes to love and like, always listen to your heart. If you cant determine whether you like this guy or not find out more about him. Make a list of pros and cons.

Your mind could be telling you one thing but your emotions and feelings(heart) could be telling you another.

if you love someone you will feel it in your heart. if you are away from the person and you miss them and you feel like you cant breath then that is love. If all you want is to screw then that is your head.

when i have to ask myself if i like a guy... it probably means i don't like him enuf. don't u deserve to know undoubtably how u feel for someone? i would say yes!
