You might want to learn how to become assertive, a way of getting things for yourself and getting things done by simply asking, which is the opposite of demanding. Assertive individuals tell others in a nice way. You have made me feel sad, etc. when acting a certain way. That way the person becomes aware of how they are treating others.

What are you being asked to submit to? Submitting to the speed limit, to the IRS and to other rules is a good thing, but submitting to someone else's will or beliefs because they told you to is wrong, wrong, wrong.

When we submit to rules and laws in the workplace and in society, we are actually in control of our lives because we're not in jail or in the unemployment line. Maybe you need a new perspective on things.
