My projector has HD capabilities (720p),will this plug work if I use it to connect to my projectors HD input while using my dvd players output (480p)? Will it make the image more clear?

I don't have an HD DVD player but I want to connect the progressive outlets RGB (DVD) to the HDMI input on the projecter via the XBOX connecter being that one end is rca's and the other is HD. The native resolution is 720i on that particular input on the projector. If I connect it any other way it's only 480i standard.

You provided a link for a component cable for an Xbox 360, but you are trying to connect a DVD player to a projector. That's not going to work!!!

Assuming your projector has component connections, then connecting your DVD player to the projector with a component cable will give you higher quality than composite or s-video.

Since your DVD player outputs only at 480p, then you cannot get high definition just by changing your cables. You need to change your video source like buying a BluRay or HD-DVD player, which outputs up to 1080p.

Your projector will scale any incoming video signal to the projector's native resolution of 720p.

The only way to improve your video quality with your current setup is to use component video cables. If it is not clear to you, then you may have a crappy video processor in your projector.

Hi.I think you would have to have a High Definition DVD player with 720 p output to see a better image even though your projector has that capability. My DVD player is a standard definition one and i can only have 580i resolution even though my projector has 720p like yours.
I think i have explained it correctly Cheers.
