They'll just dodge the question by claiming that God heals "spiritually" and not physically...never mind the many, many claims of physical healings by evangelists.
I hear lots of tales about God curing diseases and ailments. Why is there not a single story about regrowing a lost limb? I can certainly think of quite a few people right off the top of my head who would deserve such a miracle.

Do you believe that God exists purely to heal everyone who has the faith that he will heal them because they are devout? What sense would that make? Haven't you ever known a truly good person who was wronged? Did they not have faith? Just because you have faith in God does not mean that he has to fix what you believe is wrong. I'm sure God has a better idea. And there will never be any sign, occurence, miracle, NOTHING that will prove once and for all that God exists, and every body will believe it. P.S. How do you "heal" an amputee? give them their arm/leg/hand, etc. back? Really?

What do you mean by heal an amputee, an amputee is someone who has had a limb removed, so does this person (the amputee) need to be healed? If so, God can heal that person, of whatever they need to be healed from. I don't need your $1000 since God has blessed me financially, spiritually, emotionally and physically. My bible says, "MY GOD SHALL SUPPLY ALL MY NEEDS" Philippians 4 v 19.
Think about this, an amputee can still life to it's fullest, it doesn't keep them back from living, and neither from giving God all the praise that belongs to him. They could be dead!
And pertaining to the second part of you statement. "science can make incredible prosthetics" What this says regarding the existence of God is: It's God that inspires the scientists and engineers to create these wonderful prosthesis.

Absolutely nothing. Just because God doesn't perform miraculous healings because someone told Him to, or asked him to, doesn't mean he doesn't exist. God isn't competing with science, because He doesn't need to compete. Humans compete with one another with their beliefs, not God.
Besides, what if I were to say that God uses scientists and doctors to heal amputees with their prosthetics? Science is an explanation of processes, but it always stops short of the fundamental "why". Gravity works, for example, but why does it work? That's how God decided to create the universe, with the mechanics of gravity, evolution, etc. to create order. Why should God work directly by His own hand (and risk widespread panic and disorder), when the hands (and minds) of man work just as well?

Why do many people want to make a performing monkey out of God then trumpet his supposed non-existence when He refuses to respond?
Incidentally, that's quite a leap from there being no God to prosthetics to conflicts with science. I think I know where you're going with this, but it's not very smooth.

"Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God."
If science can only make prosthetics, it proves how incredibly pathetic man's attempts are to produce things that only God can create. And, there ARE no "conflicts" between REAL science and God. Only a conflict between God and man's faulty interpretation of the facts.
