Make a pot of chili and also spaghetti sauce. This freezes well if you put it into airtight containers. I have found that they often taste better when eaten later than when eaten on the same day.
The chili can be used on a bed of lettuce and eaten with tortilla chips like a taco salad. It can be eaten over frito chips and topped with cheese for frito corn pie. You can also put the chili over cooked elbo macaroni and top with shredded cheddar cheese for a quick chili-mac.
Chili over hot dogs too.
The spaghetti sauce obviously can be used with pastas but also can be used over meatballs for a meatball hoagie. It can be used over ravioli (frozen section).

Good for you!
Many, many things freeze well. I The trick is to know things that do NOT freeze well, and avoid putting them in the recipe. Some things that do NOT freeze well:
Pasta (will tend to get mushy, but still tastes fine)
Rice (ditto)
deep fried things (fries, o rings, egg rolls, burritos)
One of the best things to do is get some of those rubbermaid containers that have two sections. You can make up a mess of, say, chicken, and a bunch of broccoli, and put different sauces on the chicken and fill one section of the containers, and put the veggies in the other.

Soups, stews, lasagna, homemade spaghetti sauce, chili... anything actually. These types of things are great because they are made in larger quantities giving you multiple meals. Get a wok and some recipes for stir frying meals....lots of good vegies in stir fry and you can really mix it up. Learning to cook is fun.

you wanna know whats really really good?
putting laffy taffys in the freezer. they make a really good hard candy and last a lot longer. no, but if you find some really good tortillas, white, you can put them in the microwave for 20 seconds or until a big bubble shows up, then stick some fajita beef meat in it. put in ziploc baggy, zip it well, and u can save it for up to 2 weeks! they actually taste twice as good when a little cold :) so just heat it up for 15-20 seconds

Each time you cook a meal, do some extra to put into containers to freeze.
Do them in meal sized or snack sized portions and clearly label them with the date and what is in there
Some ideas would be rice and veges
Casseroles or Stews.
Pasta and sauce.
Meat loaf

spaghetti sauce, chili, sweet and sour meatballs, chicken soup, veggie soup, beef veggie soup, baked beans are all things that freeze beautifully...anything "one pot" works great and is very freezable...
with the spaghetti sauce, you can just make your pasta real quick the day of when you want to eat it...
same goes with the rice, is using instant...if you use long grain, you can cook and freeze portions to take with you...
