By mail it usually takes up to 6 to 8 weeks. Now days you can e-file your taxes and it takes 2 to 4 weeks or go to a tax preparer and get an Instant refund anticipation loan in about 10 minutes.

Check with your state tax authority. They can at least tell you when your return was received and if a refund has been mailed.

I've always been told 2-4 weeks. But by March things are usually starting to get backed up. I would call and check on it or ask the person that prepared your taxes to check for you.
