I am the only member of my family in living memory to have red hair. I've never had anyone give me crap about it, but I also live in the US, so that could have something to do with it. Two of my children also have red hair. My son's is brilliant, flaming red while my daughter's is more like mine, a soft light kind of red. Men here tend to like red-headed women more than blonds or brunettes, maybe you should come to the US. LOL

Have you seen the episode of South Park with the ginger kids? Very funny episode, but also makes a good point.
Personally I think red-heads are adorable, especially the really ginger ones with lots of freckles.

I myself am a red head to. my sister never liked my red hair. she always said she didn't want a baby with red hair. Now she says she hope if she does have a baby with red hair she hopes it is a girl. I think most pregnant women just want a healthy baby. Because that is the most important thing. I have always gotten compliments on my hair. I like being a red head because it is different. Not many people have red hair. Plus red heads are known to be spunky, blonde's dumb, and brunette boring.

There are lots of prejudices against redheads, I know, I have several redhead friends. However there are prejudices against blondes as well. I am brunette but I have red hair in my genes, I wouldn't mind having a redhead LoL.
I have a friend with a redhead-green eyed child, a blond blue eyed and a brunette with hazel eyes. Funny how genetics work huh?

I don't think there's anything wrong with red hair. I think that it can look really pretty and cute on some people, especially little girls. But some people do look better with red hair than others. I think it looks best when it's not too vibrant. But then again, maybe it also has to do with a person's other physical features, and how well they compliment the hair color.

The general population hates gingers. They have a hard go at it all their lives. The old saying is"I'd rather be dead than red on the head". Don't take a chance. If pregnant, terminate immediately. If just postulating, quit thinking such weird thoughts. That is sick. No body likes red-headed babies. Some of us more than others. Hope this helps.

I simply do not understand this bias in Britain regarding 'ginger' hair. It has long puzzled me. My best friend is a redhead and she gets so much positive attention because of it. Men just fall all over themselves when they see a redhead. In my family a redhead baby was the absolute best thing anyone could have! In America, almost everyone ooh's and ahh's over a redheaded baby.

all depends on the shade of ginger, and the skin. I wouldnt want a child with bright orange hair and orange freckles, but there are some shade of auburn that are really nice
