Sorry if you're offended but it's the nature of the Christian to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are ordered by Jesus to do it. And it's all for the benefit of others to come to Him and be saved from eternal damnation. It is done out of love and it's not always easy since sometimes people respond in an unlovely way. But, nevertheless, it is God's plan and it has it's rewards, if only knowing it pleases God for us to testify of Him. The scripture is just reference to show where we find our reasons for believing something. It is not to show off, or beat up anyone. We know most people know some scripture and a lot have read the Bible, even more than once. That doesn't mean the same thing as understanding the meanings in the Bible. No one can know all the Bible or understand it's meaning all the time....(ex. Satan knows the Bible, but stupidly keeps trying to defeat God's plans, he's so hung up on himself, he thinks he can do it....NOT). I don't believe anyone can convert a true Christian (I could quote why I believe this, it you want...it's in the scriptures) to being a non-Christian. It's impossible to snatch us out of the Father's Hand. He seals us with the Holy Spirit. It's something that can't be undone. Those on here that say they grew up Christian, are once were Christian and now they are atheist or whatever, well, I say they never gave their heart to Christ, repented of their sins, and believed Christ paid their sindebt on calvery, rose from the grave, and sits at the right hand of the Father until He comes for us. Oh yeah, and there are those in the Christian bunch that say they have always been a Christian. They may think that, but that, too, is impossible. Once they reach the age of knowing they have sinned, they must make that personal encounter with Christ also, to be saved. "I'm leaving all my references out so you won't take offense, but give me a comment and I'll put them in for you.
So, you see, we can't make such a deal with you. We are bound by the love of God to pray for your soul, and continue to show you the Way. Whatever you do with it is on you, but of course it would bring great rejoicing in Heaven if you would give in to the Holy Spirit when He comes to you & speaks to your heart about accepting Jesus as your Savior. God bless you and keep you 'til the day of your acceptance.

We are not trying to convert you.
You are here and asking questions.
We are answering the questions.
You are reading the answers.
You are being talked to.
Some get very upset.
Some feel as though they should give it some thought.
Some get very angry.
You are all here to get answers.
I didn't say we had all the answers but we have some of them.
Do I hate you?
No, sometimes I get flash backs to who I was.
Sometimes I get angry at some of you that are very aggressive with your hateful opposition.
The actual word is blasphemous.
You have to admit that you have said you were Atheists.
But here you are on a Religion and Spirituality site.

Sounds like a plan,
'iff' (if and only if)
non-believers will stop asking any questions that involve some type of secular or scientific reasoning without first stating
1. Your personal presuppositions used to interpret what you refer to as "facts" in any question;
and
2. You quit acting as if you objectively evaluate any evidences in some neutral laboratory before arriving at the likely rational conclusion;
and agree that
3. ALL our systems of interpretation (presuppositions) determine how we look at the world, thus, NO ONE is a neutral explorer.
Deal? 8-)

Heres the problem, when looking at it from a Christian point of veiw. Atheists are standing on the train tracks of eternity. Because of our loving and caring spirit we feel the need to point out that there is a train coming at you. Some people don't care if you get run over by a train, others try to gently warn you that you should move, and still others try to take it upon themselves to try and yank you off.
I fully accept that you are on the tracks by choice and not because your foot is stuck . I also accept that I will not be pulling you off under my own power. But I can not stand by silently and watch the train hit you. And I will under no situation be joining you on the tracks or allow you to make fun of me for being aware of where I stand.
Thank you, and by the way
LOOK OUT THERE IS A TRAIN COMING AT YOU !

You pose a question about God and expect us NOT to quote scripture?
You know what you know. We know what we know. You expect us to accept you as you are, but refuse to give the same in kind?
Not exactly fair and unbiased.
You state you aren't trying to convert us but Atheists are constantly posing their reasons why God does not exist and calling us ignorant and stupid for believing in him.
Again, not exactly fair and unbiased.
This can not be a one sided deal.
Stop trying to convince people God does not exist and we will not try to convince peole that he does.
How deadly dull would that be?
This IS a discussion forum. If you're that easily wounded perhaps you should not be here.
Personally, I enjoy questions of Atheists. When they are posed with thoughfulness. When their sole intent is not to insult Christians.

I'd rather someone come to me with questions about my beliefs than randomly go about shoving my religion down people's throats any day.
Deal... I suppose...
Mock my beliefs,or try to argue with me about them, and I WILL speak my mind. If a question is asked,I will answer it the way I see fit, just as you would. I try hard not to quote and run with scripture, but sometimes the Word just seems to fit in certain places, and I shall use them there.

Yes you have every right but I don't try to convert you. I just tell you my opinion and I don't quote enough people give you that and I know you want a logical explanation. I know for a fact you won't pray so I'll do it for you. But I guess I'm just different.
God Bless (or whatever)
