Becasue guys are stupid and shallow and well the supposably dont want to ruin there rep by dating someone that is not popular!

Obviously you are not a popular girl. Don't worry, sweetheart. Guys hang around with pretty popular girls to feel like they are someone. I did the same. I was the captain of the football team, and I was a jerk, with whom some girls like you had a crush. You will move on and meet unbelievable men, not boys, and you will land a husband that will make my counterparts extremely jealous. Do not stoop to the level of the shallow girls you refer to as popular. You probably feel like your dating life is soon to be over, where after high school, it is like it hasn't even started yet. Take your time and date a man, a gentleman, not a boy.

You know what, popular girls are the oes the guys want to have sex with (nothing more) and the other girls are the ones they will
end up marrying and having families with, while the then popular girls will become cougars and end up living in a shitty one bedroom apartment in the ghetto.

In my life I have "liked" many women, been "entangled" with about a dozen, and in a "relationship" with a few special ones. Many of them might have been popular but they weren't the most popular or anything like that. In fact, I didn't like the "most popular" crowd. It isn't about who is most popular... at least for me and many people I know. It is, however, about people with good personalities and you would think people with good personalities would be popular but in some places like high school the popular ones aren't necessarily the nice ones but the idealized ones because of their looks, wealth or people they hang out with. There is a difference between popular and "The Popular". Pretty and nice girls are popular but sometimes girls who are not anywhere near nice are popular because of their looks, wealth or people they hang out with and sometimes girls who are both hideous and horrible people are popular for the people they hang out with and wealth.

maybe it could be based on the matching hypothesis, its when males and females choose mates approximatedly equal to their own physical atractiveness. It is proven that individuals with similar attractivness will be more satisfied as couples and are less likely to break up. Also, it is supported by evidence that marrried couples tend to be very similar in level of attractiveness.

I have honestly no idea. All you don't have that they have is popularity. And you probably have quite a few things they don't have as well, such as intelligence, a kind personality, etc. good luck with your guy= )
