We're broken up, but he says he still loves me but doesnt want a serious relationship. I love him too and we still hang out, how long is this weird inbetween thing going to last?

Because its hard to let go of the feelings that you once felt. It was amazing when you guys dated and he doesnt regret you as having a girlfriend. Once you guys shared a special feeling like this, it will never burn out. Because it was true. its hard to explain this question. But he thinks its better off like its now.
I dunno whats in his head, a lot of guys are different. You should have a talk with him about it, if you really care. and if he still does of course .. just be honest and open with him just like you were when you were dating

It may last quite awhile actually. Maybe a week, a month or even years! It depends on you two actually. Just be careful of backsliding... If you have been intimate before then you might do it again and that would really make the friendship more difficult or impossible but if you are lucky it could also bring you back together (but from experience those rarely last long).

It's alright that you hang out and that you still have affections for one another but remember that now you are just friends, if something is to happen it can't happen as just friends, if you catch my drift. The affections of love will eventually turn to concern and friendship, pretty much that's all you're waiting for. Hope it doesn't last long.

as long as you make it.
he broke up with you, Move on!
I know it's gonna be hard. but there's not much you can do. he doesn't want a serious relationship and he told you. now it's your turn to think about yourself. do you really want to wait for someone who may not even come around?
and if he does decide to come back, well if you still have feelings for him then, then its up to you to decide whether or not you want to get back together.

It will last as long as you allow it to last.

Really, I believe that one-chance-per-person-per-lifetime is the way to go. Easier to close that door so that a new one can open for you.

Good luck with whatever you decide however.

it all depends on the people invovled. he could be just coming and going as he please b/c you allow him to. he may say he loves you but do you know him well enough to believe him when he means it or not. i know exactly what you are going through. it's hard but you need to know to keep the control not him. don't allow him to just use u as a booty call. be careful. guys will say anything to get you in bed!

Until you both get into separate relationships and then unfortunately will either drift apart, get back together or remain distant close friends.

I'd move on. Sounds like he wants to use you as a crutch until he finds someone else... or he just wants to keep having sex with you. Good luck

This is my favorite situation. Why can't you girls see, this is a standard booty call situation! He wants you for sex when he wants you for sex that's it!@
