won't that be too dark, is there another good option for the guys to wear, the wedding is in early fall

I opted for rather autumn colors at my wedding (decidedly a small affair)--I wore a burgundy red dress and my attendants wore forest green (everything was far from conventional--it was my second marriage and my husband's third).

Gold might be a better choice for the bridesmaids, and I like the idea of chocolate or brown for the men.

I asked a similar question like this a couple of months ago. Here is the link so you can see some different opinions.

I ended up getting the brown and pink dresses and am still going to go with black tuxedos. I also wore a brown dress in a wedding with a guy in a black tux and it didn't look bad. The only downfall of maybe going with brown tuxedos is that your groomsmen will look good and they will match your bridesmaids but think about you and your groom. I think if you are wearing ivory then it will look very good but if you are wearing white then he will probably look better in black. But like somebody told me it's a wedding and black is somewhat neutral at a wedding and nobody will even notice. Good Luck!

For my wedding i wanted brown so i found suits by Calvin kline in dark brown that are very nice. The girls rather then wearing brown are wearing a burnt orange dress with red and orange flowers. I dont think black and brown would look nice together.

Remember - it's a wedding ... not a funeral.

The idea of the brown suits is awesome! I would also try to incorporate another color into the mix - just to offset the dark. I pretty orange, teal, something along those lines.

No, it would still be perfect!

I'm getting married this fall and I've seen lots of pretty stuff.

I would put the guys in gold, light choco, orange, or red vests!

I've used this website to view all kinds of wedding party photos.
Good luck!

Fall is all about rich, warm colors. We love these combos:

Changing leaves: bronze, copper, peach, and burnt orange

Simply divine: chocolate brown paired with celadon green or aquamarine

New classic: chocolate brown paired soft pastels such as pale pink or powder blue

Rich and regal: gold and red

Color Combos

Hot Pink + Pale Pink: It isn't only for little girls. Choose a strong shade, use plaids to make it preppy, or add flowers such as tulips for sophistication.

Cocoa + Gold: It's rich and regal -- sexy for bridesmaid dresses, enticing for decor.

Silver + Black: Metallics are trendy, but silver paired with black is timeless.

Turquoise + Tangerine: Melon-icious colors are perfect for bold, summertime soirees. Or use deeper shades for a winter wedding.

Lime Green + Ruby Red: Pair a pale fluorescent tone with a primary color for a beautiful contradiction.
Fuchsia + Tangerine: Use plaids to make it preppy or go for a colorful cake for personality.
Chocolate + White: Brown is the new black and we love keeping it simple and sophisticated with classic whites.
Celadon + Turquoise: Take a vibrant hue and pair it with a grounding color, like a calm green, for a palette that's totally serene.
Cranberry + Beige: This color combo can easily be dressed up or down.
Pale Blue + Cocoa: This contemporary pairing is equal parts classic and playful.

I have seen the brown and black done together and it looked really bad. sorry to say but nobody liked the pictures. it was pretty much the talk at the wedding...without anyone saying anything to the bride. my advice...dont do brown at all. it just doesnt look right.

ooh...I like Jessicas idea...that sounds really nice!

I have David's Bridal magazine and in it, the men are wearing black tuxedos and brown vests and ties. It looked very nice. I would check out after hours because it looked VERY nice. I would have never paired the two.

Brown is for the old people.

Why don't you have the bridesmaids wear a lighter color and the guys wear chocolate?
