Ridiculous question, I'm an atheist and I believe in many things. Like love, happiness, friendship, science, kindness, human rights, animal rights. I believe in lots of things, just because I don't believe in a man sat on a cloud saying what I should do doesn't make me void of emotion.

Atheists generally believe in things of a more tangible or scientific nature. Commitment is based on personal morality instead of fear of a deity. Right and wrong are dictated by society norms and a humanistic view. As far as publicity it is almost always bad, so most rarely advertise unless confronted.

On the contrary.
By proclaiming "atheist," one is actually saying that they have committed to everything. They have committed that they know enough about everything that there is to know... including every grain of sand on every beach that ever existed, and every drop of water in the ocean, and everything that has ever happened in history. They know enough that they can commit to believe that their existence is completely without reason aside from the obvious daily processes they go through. They commit to say that "love" is not real because there is no scientific evidence of it's existence. They commit to marry husbands and/or wives simply for the purpose of sex and having kids/or pressure, because love does not exist.

Another either/or question from an R&S troll....
In this case, I guess we are publicity seekers. Anything else negative you'd like to say about us today? Or was that the best insult your small mind could muster?

Atheists generally believe in almost anything that can be logically proven. They just have difficulty believing in things that (while they might serve a purpose), appear to be entirely imaginary entities invented by other people for the purposes of controlling social behaviour.

I hereby commit to believe in tangible evidence as set forth by educated people, and not live my life like an ignorant, first century fisherman bereft of education and base beliefs and actions on emotions and gut feelings.

Atheists can belive in some things. There is a branch of atheism called agnostic. They belive that there is a supernatural being but, they do not have enough proof to belive in any certain one.
But to be a true atheist you can't be agnostic. The definition of atheism is not beliving in any god. And we do not all belive that christians are brainwashed and other things like that. I belive that it is not worth my time to go to church so I just don't. I respect religious people and all we ask for in return is respect.

Of course. I believe, based on evidence, that it is possible to learn through application of science, essentially anything that is worth knowing. Again, based on evidence of evolution, it is possible to explain the origin of mankind and of systems of morality. It is not necessary to believe in a Big Brother or other superstitious nonsense to understand how the world works; indeed, it is provably useless to do so.

Bill Gates is an atheist. He's pretty committed to helping Africas poor. Or is that a "publicity stunt" since an atheist did it?
