Avenue-a wide street or main thoroughfare.

Boulevard- a broad avenue in a city, usually having areas at the sides or center for trees, grass, or flowers

Street- a public thoroughfare*, usually paved, in a village, town, or city, including the sidewalk or sidewalks

*Thoroughfare-a road, street, or the like, that leads at each end into another street.

I am assuming, based on these definitions that a street and an avenue are similar. The major difference between the two is supposed to be size. A boulevard has grass or trees in the center of it separating the lanes.

They're just different names for the same kind of road. If it's not a highway and it's driveable, it can be called any of these and more.
