I am wanting to lose 20 lbs. I've talked to my doctor and said that 110 lbs would be fine for my age and height. I'm 15, 5'1" and weigh 130 lbs. My doctor said I was on the verge of having an unhealthy weight. I've started drinking a lot of water, and I've cut out ice cream (which was my main problem). I don't drink soda or any junk like that. But what foods can I eat that are going to make me feel full and yet be low in calories. I work out daily. All of this I'm just starting but I'm definitely motivated. I just need help with what foods to eat and what kind of exercises to do. I want to tone my butt, arms, inner thighs (main problem), and my stomach (another main problem). I have a lot to do in 2 months, but I'm motivated. I need to lose this weight because I'm going to see some friends I haven't seen in over 2 years. Friends who remember me as being skinny. So any tips on diet or exercise are very much appreciated! Thanks to anyone and everyone who answers!

I want to impress my friends, but I also gained 20 lbs in 3 months. My doctor said I need to lose a few lbs. She said to get down to 120. But I asked her if 110 would be okay or even 115 and she said yes. I think 115 would be just as fine as 110, but I'm aiming for less. Like I said, I want to impress my friends, but I also want to have the body I use to have. I want to be hot and I want to get healthy.

Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/caloriecalclb.html This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

i lost 45 kilos in 9 months, the first months i lost sooner. i just dra nk 1 glass milk with 1 ts honey for breakfast and for lunch i ate boiled chicken or fish without oil and salt. u can eat as much as u want! even 2 kilos! but without anything else!! just fish or chicken the whole day! this is healthy and fast, after 1 week, u can add some salad or tomatos to ur food or u can add 3 fruits (same type except melons, bananas, grapes) if you gain some again you must remove salat and fruit. i dont know how much you wanna lose though. because for me after 20 kilos my diet changed abit. For example I just ate apple from morning until night, just as many apples i wanted, but only apple! or any other fruit.. like peach, plums...then again next day i just ate boiled potatos.. i could eat 3 kilos potatos and still lose weight... the point is that u must not mix this with other things... one day i ate only 1 liter ice cream.... again other day i just ate cucumber... but if u try one and u see that u get weigh then 2-3 days again u must have that first one which is only fish and chicken...and try to walk at least 60 mins everyday and you can go to training centers

Are you losing it just for your friends or because you don't want to become unhealthy?
I think that's something you need to think about, also if you stop whatever borderline radical changes you are going to make to your diet and activity level you have to keep it up or you will just put it all back on after you meet your friends, then whats the point.
Anyway, try eating something with alot of fiber for your breakfast, its hard finding a good cereal, i know there are smoothies you can make for breakfast and add in fiber supplements to them, it will make you feel full for longer and you are less likely to snack during the day because your blood sugar isn't low.
Keep drinking the water but don't overdo it because you will just feel very bloated and totally not in the mood to exercise.
Eat alot of fruit, preferably a large fruit salad for lunch, or make one in the morning for you to pick at during the day, it is healthy, low in calories and it really does make you feel better.
Raw vegtables with dip is really good aswell to eat, like carrots and cucumbers, which sound pretty non appealing but there are some great low fat dips available that provide alot of taste to it, it is better if they are spicy, spicy foods increase metabolism and if you like mustard there are no calories in it.
Raw are better than boiled or steamed, sometimes the nutrients are destroyed by the cooking and in raw it isn't the case.
Carbs make you feel full but have the tendency to hold on to alot of water and most carb foods contain refined sugar which is something you don't want, so at least once a day or every two days eat some good carbs, like wholemeal brown bread or healthy pasta options.
Soup is fantastic, esp vegtable soup, its warm and filling.
Rice cakes and light yogurt are very good aswell.
Any fish, grilled or boiled is very important to eat when losing weight and obviously cutting out fats because they contain good fatty acids which are essential and chicken also, skinless.
Any running, skipping exercises are very good, anything that gets your heart rate up and breathing faster is good exercise, its recommended you do it alot with weight training and toning since depending the amount of weight you are going to lose and 2 months is a very fast time to lose it your skin may not have enough time to adjust to the weight loss so it reduces the risk of lose skin in excess

this site gives some good info, but you should look around for more details information about an exercise plan and how to go about it.
Good luck and remember there is no quick fix, if you stop this drastic change after two months you will gain the weight back.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)
