i am going on a fly drive and know that i will be spending more time sitting and eating than walking

it really depends on your height and weight and age, but at least 1200 for normal body functions to work properly.

if your on a diet? none..if you are hungry just eat what you want then go for a jog later.....ok i just noticed what you said....your going to be sat doing nothing and eating.....you need to cut your calories now for crying out loud not when you go
