It IS hard not to eat junk food. In fact, sugar is addictive. But you need to rid yourself of it. Ask your parents to help you out. You need a supportive environment and that means not allowing those foods in your house. Not at all. B/c you know you can't resist it and the more you have the more you want! So therefore the solution is just to Not be able to get to it.
Look at Jay McGraw's Book The Ultimate Teen Weight Solution. Ask your mom to help make healthy dinners. What I used to do was when I wanted a cake, I'd go for a run outside. Or take the puppy for a walk. Replace the boredom that causes you to walk to the fridge with an energy level raising, fat burning exercise. Anything fun. Summer is coming--there are tons of great things to do. Swim, play tennis, soccer, bball....sign up for a camp.
Got a sweet tooth? Buy hershey kisses. That way when you really want chocolate, you can have a hershey kiss. It will take care of it. Or if you can eat dark chocolate, try eatting dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate. The body can't take as much of it and as the taste is stronger you don't crave as much to get the same satisfaction.
AND ABOVE ALL!! Please read this. DO NOT listen to the above posters. "dont eat anything for dinner ... have a large breakfast the next day ..."--that is almost the worst suggestion I have ever heard on this site. She must be 7th grade or maybe 9th max. Not eatting a meal is the worst thing you can do. It slows your metabolism down. Think of your body like your allowance. You get $10 a week. Well, if you know you will get $10 on Sunday, then come Saturday you may buy an $8 item you wouldn't have bought on Monday. But now lets say you get $10 whenever you are "good". Well you better save that money cause you don't know when you will get anymore.
Your body is the same way. If you skip meals, the body doesn't know what is going on. It wonders when it will have food and therefore starts "saving up" and not burning the energy it normally would. Then when you eat the large breakfast, your body says "Better turn this into fat and save it quickly cause I don't know when I'm going to eat again".
The next poster is probably in 5th grade. "Don't eat any fruits or vegetables--just chicken or fish. Next you can have a day when you eat only ice cream." You seem to be an intelligent person. You know you need to lose weight and you know that junk food is what made you fat. SO what do you think Not eatting healthy food and only eatting ICE CREAM is going to do?!?
In health class, look at the food pyramid. You need to be eatting fruits and veggies. If you don't like them, try different vegetables. Perhaps you don't like how your mom cooks it. Try butternut squash. Try something you've never had before--asperagus, asian style stir fry. Mix in fruit that you like--oranges to flavor the rice instead of butter. You could give up meat and be completely healthy but not vegetables.
It's hard as a kid and you are going to have to get help from your mother. Help her find low-calorie alternatives.
The way to lose weight and be healthy is simply to burn more calories than you take in. The number you put into your body has to be less than the number you are using up in the day. That is either by taking in less calories (by not eatting high calorie things) or by burning more calories (jump rope, running, playing ball).
Here are some suggestions:
*don't eat sugar. No junk food. No chips, no lil debbie snack cakes, no twinkies. Just give it up for 1 week and you'll see. After a week, you won't want it as much as you did the first day.
*don't drink soda. give up all soda. you'll lose weight like crazy. drink water or milk instead.
*don't eat fast food. Tell your mom you don't like burgers anymore.
You'd be impressed to know that just by those couple of things you might be able to not eat 1,000 calories a day. Just by doing that you can lose 2 lbs a week.

Then start doing fun stuff. Running, wrestling, soccer, swimming....don't sit in front of the computer or tv. It is much easier to have fun and have a healthy lifestyle as a kid.
Don't listen to anyone telling you not to eat or to take eat only ice cream. All those diets are fad diets. The Grapefuit Diet, the Cabbage Soup Diet, the Carrots and Peas Diet. When you do these horrible things to your body, eventually your body rebells. It's called yo-yo dieting and millions of dollars are spent each year as people do these dumb diets. I hope these suggestions help and good for you for being strong enough to want to change your habits!

Being a kid isnt an excuse to keep eating junk food ... I hear ya though I would rather eat a rat than veggies anyday!!
I lost alot of weight by learning will power!! Once I have lost 10 Lbs I will eat a small bag of cheetos ...
Just remember this if you are 'naughty' for lunch ... dont eat anything for dinner ... have a large breakfast the next day ...
Keep the junk to a minimum ...
If you used to eat a whole bag of M&Ms or potato chips ... share them with your friends ... that way you only are intaking half of what you used to consume~ ... Hope that helps

Im a girl too. I have a huge weight problem. love to eat and it is bad. What I do is write the calories I intake, and go to the gym to burn them. For example, today my intake was 875, which is a lot. Now my parents and I entered a gym. I entered when I was eleven. Just tell your parents. So, I am going to go to the gym and burn 900. Easy as that. The key is to burn more then you eat. Get a music player or radio. Gyms have television to watch while you exercise. A huge sacrafice is eat healthy, you need a lot of motivation and strong willpower. I have chocolate in my drawer right now, and I won't eat no matter how much I crave it. Also, eat portioned. IF you really want to lose weight you can. Only you know what's best fr you. YOU ARE DOING THIS FOR YOURSELF AND NO ONE ELSE! Think, do you want diabetes, measuring your blood sugar everyday, not being able to eat everything because of you disease. No one can do this but you.

when i was a kid i had "fat" issues. I learned to still have junk food but the key is to share it with people. When having a bag of chips or a bag of M&M's, ask everyone around you if they want some too. That'll cut your junk food intake by almost half (if not more)! It's also a great way to make friends. This is almost gaurenteed to lose weight because I went from being a chubby kid to a damn sexy teenager! ;) good luck honey!!

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

i lost 45 kilos in 9 months, the first months i lost sooner. i just dra nk 1 glass milk with 1 ts honey for breakfast and for lunch i ate boiled chicken or fish without oil and salt. u can eat as much as u want! even 2 kilos! but without anything else!! just fish or chicken the whole day! this is healthy and fast, after 1 week, u can add some salad or tomatos to ur food or u can add 3 fruits (same type except melons, bananas, grapes) if you gain some again you must remove salat and fruit. i dont know how much you wanna lose though. because for me after 20 kilos my diet changed abit. For example I just ate apple from morning until night, just as many apples i wanted, but only apple! or any other fruit.. like peach, plums...then again next day i just ate boiled potatos.. i could eat 3 kilos potatos and still lose weight... the point is that u must not mix this with other things... one day i ate only 1 liter ice cream.... again other day i just ate cucumber... but if u try one and u see that u get weigh then 2-3 days again u must have that first one which is only fish and chicken...
