I don't want my friends to mourn over me or anything.
Therefore it would be nice if somebody would tell a joke to make them laugh.
Now that I think of it, yes, it would be very nice my last memory (I mean... before the casket!) to be laughter and joyous music.

I fear that being buried is to boring of a way for me to be laid to rest. As for those mourning over me they are my love ones who will miss me yet rejoice we will be together again. Those who new my characture will understand when I contract a demolition team to blow my lifeless self up in a blaze of glory. Semper Fidelis to any grunt that gets the job. I would like to hear any 1's initial words.

What a beautiful question. I think about this often.
I would want them to say they loved me, and that I was a person who tried to love others, who tried to put the needs of those closest to me before my own.
I hope they would add that I was a good husband and father, and a good teacher (I teach Jr. High).
And after a few tears, I would hope that they would have a great party and celebrate life.

I would say, "dont mourn and dont waste your tears, you will all join me if not today, then tomorrow, so prepare yourself for your death, for enjoying your life and living for just that purpose is ignorant. For nothing will come in handy when i am in my grave, except for the deeds, and my prayers. So work hard to make life here and hereafter a success"

My will is very specific that I'm not to have a funeral.
My body is to be cremated, a trusted friend it to go to a randomly selected latitude and longitude in my home state, and bury my ashes there, then NEVER tell anyone where he buried my ashes.
Friends and family are asked to destroy any physical documents or momentos with my name or likeness on them.
In short -- I ask my family and friends to give me one last wish -- every effort to ensure history never remembers me.

There will be no casket, there will be no body. I will be burned on a pyre like my pagan ancestors and cast back to the sea where my heart has always truly been. Everyone else will be too drunk to care!!

"They did a really good job on her make-up....it actually looks like her."
A friend of mine died last year and they made her look horrible. It made it harder...Of course, I remember the good times and what a beautiful girl she really was, but the site of her in her casket will always haunt me.

I don't want my family and friends to mourn my passing. I want them to rejoice that I'm in the presence of Jesus.
