Hi. I'm a healthy 31 year old woman at a good weight (5'2" and 100 lbs) and I work out regularly.
However, my blood pressure has turned up a little high on the last few checks, and I was wondering if reducing sodium intake would help. How many mgs. a day should a person in my situation take in?
Thanks for opinions.

you would want to consume less than 2 grams daily which is quite easy if you cook most of your own foods. if you eat a lot of processed foods that will be quite difficult. you should be drinking also the bare minimum of 64 oz. of water daily

I am concerned about the same thing and i just recently read that the average person should not take in more than 2,300mgs of sodium, which i think is close to 2 grams, it's just a little easier to read because the sodium on the nutrition tables of most products are in mgs.
