I have battled my weight all of my life. I've tried low carb, no carb, counting calories, lots of exercise, and just about any diet you could possibly imagine. The program that I am on now has ben a real benefit. I ordered Michael Thurmond's "Six Week Body Makeover". Now, granted, I was seriously overweight, so I needed more tha just six weeks. But the program comes with blue printing cards to map out your body type and find the best foods for your type. I thought this would be a problem for me because I don't like a lot of veggies, but the program offers so many choices. And the thing is, you're eating all the time, but it is samller, healthier foods which work with your body type to speed up metabolism. After being on the program for a couple weeks, your body gets used to eating that way, and this ensures that you keep off the weight. And it's not hard at all. It came with so many recipies. It is really life-changing. Once you learn to eat what your body needs, it's no big deal to stick to it. And I have found that I am never hungry and never have the need to snack. After being on this program for about 3 weeks, I went from a plus size 28 to a size 20. And I have so much more energy. I can't wait to see my end results when I have reached my goal. Just learn to eat what your body needs. You can go to the website and order the program. I believe it is 6 payments of $20. A total of $119.99 Well worth it! I think the website is www.mybodymakeover.com. The excercise program that comes with it is an 18 minute workout. Not much at all. You don't need to order all of the extra's that they offer you. The only thing extra that I ordered was the Makeover America Cookbook because it had so many more recipies. The program also comes with a dining out guide so that you can still eat out. It tells you what foods you should order. I hope this helps you out. Not all programs or diets work for everyone, but after trying them all, I figured what do I have to lose? And this actually worked for me. Good luck in reaching your weight loss goals. I wish you all the best!

I will cut and paste my stock answer, however it is interesting to see how close this is ( I have been using it for over 2 months), to a recent paper from University of California. They did a meta-analysis of all the work on weight loss over the past few years. ( summary) It showed that 2/3 of people who diet yo-yo to a higher weight, none of the faddy diets of diet pills work and that rapid weight loss doubles heart attack risk!
They seemed to suggest the only hope was modest calorie reduction + EXERCISE.
This is a news report of the article:
http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/health/...
I have to admit I have a 'stock' answer for this question, since if you look it appears 20-30 times every day!!!
Type 'guaranteed weight loss' into google, you will find 1 1/2 million sites!
Look around you if ANY of these things worked would we be getting so overweight?
We are what we eat, but we are at least as much what we don't do. Calorie intakes in 1900 and 1950 were higher than they are now, we just don't use them up!
Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruit and veg.
Take a healthy amount of exercise 30-40 minutes of vigorous exercise per day 4-5 days a week. I hate to think what percentage of the UK population does that 2%? 5%?
I have seen hundreds of questions with this same pattern :- I am fat, tell me where on line I can get this super diet or herbal/dangerous/illegal drug that I hear will fix it for me in 10 minutes without the need for me to get off the couch!
No fixes pal , less in more out, its the only way.

A varied one. I am doing the Paul McKenna thing. You pretty much eat what you want when you want but you MUST learn to stop when you are full and eat consciensiouly, only eat when you are truely hungry. SInce doing this i have noticed that i crave different foods when i am hungry and end up getting a very varied diet and have started eating things I never ate before. I have done this for about 8 monhs and have lost nearly 40lbs and kept it off. Also drink plenty of water and use a bit of common sense, the odd choccy bar or takeaway is ok, but don't do it all the time. I also incorporate exercise, it started just by walking, now I have lost the weight I can jog, you will feel so much better for it.
Good luck!

Calories are only important so you realize how many calories you are actually eating. You really shouldn't have to rely on counting. (Unless you are looking for a drastic change.)
The natural “diet”: Eat, drink, and be merry
Eat smart – well-balanced meals, cut out any unnecessary calories (snacking just because), eat when you are hungry (grumbling stomach, hunger pains) and only eat until you are satisfied (not a bite more), 5-6 smaller meals is better than 3 larger ones. Also, stop eating 2-3 hours before bed – you should be slightly hungry at bed time
Drink plenty of water, not only to stay hydrated, but its important for weight loss, including helping the muscles tone and suppressing hungry. (Tip – the lighter your urine the more hydrated you are.)
Be merry – in other words exercise, not only is it needed for weight loss, it releases chemicals in your brain and makes you more happy (some of it is addicting which is known to a lot as “runner’s high”). 30 minutes of cardio is recommended daily, and a good work out program uses cardio and weight training (even if it’s just toning – light weights, more reps). Do something you enjoy and it will be easier to stick it out.

Right this is what i have done for five weeks and it has worked for me. I have only allowed myself to have 1400 calories a day and exercise for half an hour a day. I dont eat fatty foods, sugary foods or drinks. I eat fish, chicken, cous cous, rice, potatos, fresh fruit and veg, pasta and other none fatty foods.
I eat my dinner at 5pm no later than 5.30pm and this has helped i used to be a size 16 and now a size 12 in 6weeks its hard and fustrating at times but it works. oh yes i have had two bags of crisps and two chocolates since starting.
Try and exercise in the morning or afternoon if possible if not then two hours after dinner.
Its great when you see results. Also write down each week your weight and messurements, then you can see the difference and its lovely. I treat my self on a friday night will a take away with in my calorie count but its great to have it.:)
Hope i have helped you in some way.

I agree with some people that eat healthy and well balance foods. Diets doesn't work. Believe me!
Easiest way for me to lose weight is change your foods to organic foods especially meats and diary products.
Meats and dairy Products have hormone growth that will make your weight gain, slow down weight loss, or prevent you from losing weight. So, you have to buy meats and dairy products that are organic only. Also regular meats and dairy products have antibotics and other chemicals that will harm your health.
Organic foods only that will help you lose weight and keep it off. Eat moderate that means you only have to stop eating when you feel satifisted or nearly full. Organic foods are likely make you feel more satifisted than regular foods because regular foods have chemcial that will make you hunger.
Eat more fruits and vegetables that are organic because they have rich nurtition that will give your body what it needs. Organic fruits and vegetables taste better.
Excerise is recommended! Take a walk everyday and go out to have some sun at least 20 minutes or less (do not get burn!). You may use other excerise if you want to but only if it is fun to you. If it is not fun to you, you will likely to quit.
There are addition information that will help your weight loss healthy and better.
Yerba Mate Tea - Boost energy, more alert, supress appitete.
Chamomile Tea - Calm your stress.
Green Tea - too many benefit to mention.
Make sure that they are organic so you get more benefit.
Organic Coconut oil - Will help your metabolism burn calories and fat faster.
Organic Cinnoman - Does same as above
Organic Spicy - Does same as above
Seafoods often are bad foods because most of them are bottom feeder. Eat wild solomon fishes, tuna, other scales fishes only and make sure they are wild, not raised from farm because fishes raised from farm usually have dirty and bad chemicals in the fishes.
Another food to avoid is Pork, Bacon, hot dog made with pork, and other foods are from pigs.
Pigs have one exact virus that can harm your health. Avoid them completely. You will feel better. Pigs eat anything when they pick up from the ground even gross ones. Also they play in mud that mud have worms.
Hopefully those suggestions help you to have healthy weight loss and keep it off that is not too difficult.

basically, the only thing that for SURE works, is eat less, exercise more. guaranteed to make you lose weight. but eating healthier will help that along nicely. but the "diet" that has that highest success rate is going on a Vegan diet. That means no meat, no dairy, no anything that comes from an animal. you'll lose weight faster than you can handle. especially if you exercise too, which you should do anyway, because even if you are skinny, it doesn't mean you are healthy. just walk to places you would normally drive, or go swimming a few days a week. good luck.

Low carb works the best. Just saw a news report saying the same thing. Lose weight 50% faster. If you do crumble and take in some carbs after a while, be sure to get back on the diet in 1 week.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min (60-80% of your max heart rate) plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)
