This might be a stupid question, I'm not familiar with the topic. I don't want to hear how stupid the question is, I already said it might be stupid. Laugh if you want, just don't answer anything that won't help.
About 15 years ago two friends and I did a ritual. I don't give so much credit to the book from where we took the ritual, it was a $1.00 crap with several ritual descriptions on how to invoke demons. I don't even think we did the ritual appropriately, but we stepped out of the circle without following the ritual procedure (because people was approaching). We were supposed to ask for a favor, I haven't seen the other two guys since then, one was kidnapped shortly after that. Does these things work? I don't know what they asked for, during the years exactly the opposite to what I asked for seems to be happening again and again. It is true that is dangerous to step out of the circle just like that? Can the things that continue happening have any relationship?

In demonic evocation, stepping out of the circle during ritual is a bad idea. You won't be zapped dead on the spot or anything like that, but the repercussions can be pretty serious.

You can still remember it fairly clearly. Your own ideas have a big influence over your life.

Isaiah 57:8 mentions putting memorials behind doorposts. These memorials go along with sleeping around. They are memorials of outdoors escapades (or metaphorically, other venues involving 'smooth streams' such as casinos) wherein inheritances are apportioned based on lots and/or the smoothness of the stream (of luck? going your way?). It seems that in your mind, the circle is analogous to the doorposts, the memorial is your friend who was kidnapped. He/she's a memorial of pathos for you. Had you been involved in apportioning family inheritances based on smooth streams of luck prior to this? Bad move.

These things have significance because you think they do. A demon is a spirit that distributes fates or fortunes. Distribute has the idea of being dependent on sequence in it, like the firing order of an engine. You seem to have chronologically determined what "should" happen to you versus your friends' fates, as if these need to happen one at a time, or else in comparison with other people elsewhere. Pathos is extremely annoying. It involves looking down on people and comparing your lot with theirs. If you think this is normal, your life will probably reflect this.

Try this method. The apostle James says in James 4:13-17: 'Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil. Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins."

As far as I know (theory not practise) you should perform a banishing ritual before and after casting a circle, the latter to send the spirits back to where they came from. And yes, stepping out of the circle is bad. After all, it's a protective circle. Maybe you could perform another ritual apologising for your mistake. Specify that what you are doing is for the highest good when you perform magick and you shouldn't go far wrong.

The only stupid question is the question unasked. Without knowing which book you three were playing with it would be hard to say whether you released a minor to plague your lives.
Personally I don't practice with safety circles but certain cults have very good luck with them. Chances are real that you have a over active imagination and you are being plagued by mere coincidences, but if you truly feel as if I am in error then I suggest you find a copy of the book you were playing with look up protection charms and make one. Or find a good witch and have her bless you!

It's never stupid to ask questions. I don't think any of the negative effects had anything to do with your ritual, and you're only associating them with each other because you have it in your mind that it may have been because of it. Same thing goes for prayers, if something good happens after someone prays, they'll be quick to conclude that God was helping them.

What's a $1 crap? Is that how much you had to pay to get into the outhouse or something?

The guys were likely kidnapped because they were kidnapped, however it's not smart to toy with something you understand nothing about... a little like trying to build a nuclear bomb without understand squat about it.

its a bad idea to finish without closing the circle somehow, no matter what the spell is. the closing of the circle "finishes" the spell work in most cases. it is supposed to stop the bad things from happening, and to stop bad things from getting at whatever good you cast.

Squishy's correct. Also, if the normal banishings and exorcisms fail, check out watching up "retribution curses". A retribution curse could rationale an instant failure of the common curse located on you, and a go back of the three-fold in poor health, or "karmic rate" of the curse at the different witch.

Most magic(k) spells are absolute utter rubbish....but the kind of people who'd cast demon summoning spells, even stupid phoney ones, are the type of people most likely to get in trouble with other things, like criminals and the law.

We have this ancient Wiccan secret called Occam's Razor.... google it.

Wiccan, 20+ years.
