If the governor orders you to arrest a judge and the judge orders you to arrest the governor, who do you obey? Who's your boss, a judge or a governor?

I think the bigger question here is which branch do you follow in case of a conflict between the Judicial and Executive branches (in a way, that's what you are asking).

Police officers are members of the executive branch, which is why they would follow the governor's orders to arrest the judge. The only branch that could effectively intervene to stop this is the legislative, if it so desired.

Neither the judge or the Governor is the boss. A Police Officer follows the chain of command, even in this ridiculous situation.

Whom ever is the first to bring action is the first to have the upper hand.If they want to arrest you the police must follow the law. Then they throw the common citizen into a cell that is covered with blood, urine, fleas, and a stench that would suffocate a dog weather or not if in fact that citizen is guilty or not.I would recommend that the Governor and the Judge bring action to the state before a health crisis brings action to the Judge or the Governor so named.

If the judge provides the signed arrest warrant then you arrest the Governor and bring him in court where both sides may be heard. you are an officer of the law not the politician

neither one is the boss over a police officer, A city police officer reports to his police chief, who reports to either the city manager or the mayor. A county deputy reports to the sheriff, who basicly reports to no one And the state police officer reports to his commander who reports to the state commission

A judge could issue a arrest warrant, and in that, it would have to be followed.
