I have contributed my money to anti-religious science groups who are working towards proving there is no God. When they do, and they will, I will laugh when I see all these believers look like the biggest fools when science proves them wrong.

The issue has long since been resolved, which is why the brand of non-belief on this website is so ludicrously antiquated; it positively reeks of 1920's college culture. 1) There does not exist any means of proving or disproving the existence of a divine presence; 2) In purely scientific terms, agnosticism is the only tenable conclusion. By the way, your adoration of "science" is kind of a 50's thing. Try to do good at math so you can get a good job. As far as believers looking like fools, they generally do not claim proof, but rather take the position that religiosity is a matter of faith. You are more likely to make a fool of yourself purporting to have "proven" the non-existence of God or anything comparable.

I seriously doubt there are any "science groups" working to prove there is no god. Any real scientist would laugh at that. I hope you didn't really "contribute" anything, 'cause if you have you've probably been taken.

There's no need to "prove" there is no god. The burden of proof is on those who claim there IS a god. "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence" -- and the claim of an all-knowing, all-seeing, all-powerful supernatural being who created everything is certainly an extraordinary claim. Yet there is NO evidence -- none of any kind -- that such a being exists. Lack of any evidence proving there IS a god is already proof that the gods of the christians, muslims, etc. don't exist. There doesn't need to be any further proof.

Should I have to prove that Zeus, Odin, Thor, Ra, Osiris, Baal, etc. don't exist? No? Then there is no need to prove any other god doesn't exist. The burden is to prove they DO exist.

Peace.

Why? Scientists have not been able to as of yet...as a matter of fact, many who study science come to know and believe in God. So...your money is most likely wasted.

I don't know that scientists are trying to disprove God. Science cannot explain or disprove many things. They can only tell us what "usually" happens or could have happened. Christians are scientists and believe in science...we are not at odds with each other.

You seem like you have a chip on your shoulder.

The very existence of the universe, this world, and science itself speaks of Gods existence. But I'm not worried about anything scientists come up with to try and prove God exists or not. God can only be discerned by faith and faith can't be dissected, tested in a pietry dish etc. Try all you want and have your laugh. The fact is before its all over "Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that God is, Jesus lives!, and shall be king and ruler over all thing forevermore!" Science won't even be able to stop it!!!!!

We could drop a Christian, a Moslem, a Jew, and a Buddist from the Leaning Tower of Piza and see which one hits the ground first. This in itself might not prove the existance or non-existance of God persay, but it might be entertaining.

Incidently, if you send me a check, I would be happy to do some very approrate scientificalish research on the non-exixtance of God/gods/Santa/Tooth Fairies/Whatevers

It depends on how you define god.
If you say that god is a small red cube living in an oak tree in your back yard, then that can be easily proven or disproven.
If you say that god is, by nature, unknowable, then obviously there can be no way of ever testing such a concept.
This is why nobody will ever put a concrete definition on god....if you can test it, you can prove or disprove it.

Well, you can't disprove that some god exists any more than you can disprove the existence of Russell's teapot.

You can of course disprove specific claims by certain religious texts, but believers will shrug them off just like they ignore the 380+ contradictions in the bible, and pretty much all science that disproves their beliefs already.

Bottom line: You can't reasonably discuss anything with inherently unreasonable people.

Science will prove there is no God when they can prove that there is no human conscious. I won't get into showing you how ignorant and feeble minded you are, not being able to grasp the idea of God, probably why you hold on to science.

I hope you are not serious. It is a waste of money and scientific resources to pursue that end. Why not donate your money to an anti-fairy campaign so they can proof once and for all fairies do not live in my backyard.

I am an atheist by the way.
