I heard that if you are not muslim you cannot visit someone at a muslim cemetery.

Sure you can..you just need to dress respectfully and show respect to there tradition and religion ..
If you did so you will be welcome

That is true. I cannot go with my husband if he decides to visit the cemetery.

People of other faith can visit if they want to. The purpose is to pray for the deceased one, that God may have mercy on the deceased one and elevate his/her status in the after life.

Someone said muslim women can not go, they are asked not to go if they can not control their emotions.

i am absolutely sure you can...nobody has the right to dictate who can and can not visit a deceased friend. however, if it were me - i would just dress respectfully, keeping in mind the muslim tradition...and i am sure you would be welcome.
