Jesus was executed on Nisan 14, the date of the passover. Nisan is a month on the Jewish calendar that corresponds with late March/early April on the Gregorian calendar. The date that Jesus died would have been Friday (I think it was March 29 or 31) 33 C.E at about 3pm (or the 9th hour).
The fact that date of the Passover is recorded in the Mosaic Law for yearly observation and that Jesus was executed on that same day helps us to appreciate when it happened.
Sundown Thursday to sundown Friday constituted Nisan 14. Sundown Friday to sundown Saturday constituted Nisan 15. Sundown Saturday to Sundown Sunday would be Nisan 16. Since Jesus was raised early Sunday morning, he was technically resurrected in the early hours of Nisan 16.
Did that help???

Jesus was killed on Nisan 14 after sunset and he was in the grave for 31/2 days then he was resurrected. This year Nisan 14 fell on the 2nd of April.

It would be at the time of Passover- remember Jesus celebrated Passover with his disciples just before His death- He became the Passover lamb - by the Jewish calendar it is the month of Nisan but it falls around the same time as Easter- though it is important to understand that Passover has nothing to do with Easter and Easter has nothing to do with Jesus- Passover does.

No, Nisan is the month of the Resurrection. Nisan 14, to be exact. This is by the Jewish Calendar, which is different from the Roman Calendar we use now. It depended on lunar cycles.
April is the month of Easter

April is not when jesus was resurected......know one knows the actual date! and it's sad because people celebrate easter using eggs and bunnies but what in the world does that have to do with jesus? Nothing! because that is a pagan holiday!

Yes, I believe it is. He was both born and died during the feast of passover. That was the time of year for the people to gather in their families for worhip and the Romans took advantage of the gathering for census and taxation purposes. He started His earthly ministry on His 30th anniversary and died on His 33rd anniversary, plus or minus a few days.
