How can I cash a tax refund check that's my brother with name on it in care of me?

Both you and your brother will need to sign the check if both of your names are on it.

The only way you could cash the check by yourself (legally) is if you have a Power of Attorney for your brother.

You can't. It's his.
It's forgery if you do cash it..
