Yes,

In Christianity, Christ died for all sins... not just picking and choosing which sins.

As it has been pointed out, many in the Bible were in fact murderers, but God chose to work with them, changing them to suit His needs. And as it has been mentioned before, it has to be a true repentance. Just being sorry they were caught, or trying to illicit sympathy in others, is not going to work with God. He is not fooled by insincerity.

However, just because they are forgiven by God, and are at times forgiven by individuals against whom the crime occurred, that does not mean they should be free from punishment. God gave the governments the power to punish crime and they still need to serve their sentence.

God's kingdom is not of this world. We still have an obligation to keep the laws where we live.

I believe that God can and does forgive sin and that includes murder. I know a Christian evangelist in the Far East who spent time in prison for murder. Whilst he was in prison he became a Christian and acknowledged his sin before God.
Today he is a full time evangelist working in a busy city in SE Asia. He is a lovely man, however before his conversion he was a very different person.

I am in touch with a 17yr old Zambian chap who has been imprisoned for 18yrs with hard labour for murder. He too has been forgiven by God and has become a Christian.

There is no sin bad enough that God cannot forgive and the reason is, that Jesus Christ the Son of God took the punishment for all sin by his death on the cross. All humans are sinners in varying ways, but sin is sin and we all deserve punishment for our sins.

God is ready to forgive all sinners who bow the knee and accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour. It is not a case of how bad the sins are but how genuine is the sinner who seeks Christ and therefore God`s grace and mercy.

Yes, God forgives all sins when a true repentance from the heart is offered to Him...all sin is equal in God's eyes...it's difficult for the human mind to understand this, but God's ways are not our ways...King David in the Bible ordered his lovers husband to be killed, although he didn't kill him himself, he still committed the sin...King David truly repented and was said by God he was a man after God's own heart...isn't it only right if one commits murder and is truly repentant, they should be forgiven, but still receive punishment...there is always a price to pay for committing a sin, as for sex offenders, i really struggle with this one more than murder...if they truly repent (have a change of heart) i believe they will be forgiven...although i don't know of any sex offenders who regret their actions..it's a difficult one...personally i think they should be locked up and the key thrown away...but to answer you yes all who truly repent will receive forgiveness...

Let me see if I get this right.

If I am a murder or sex offender and repent I will be forgiven and accepted into heaven.

But if I live a good life and don't believe in god I will not be allowed into heaven.

If this is the case what is the point of living a good life if you are not a Christian

Is that what you are all saying

As a rule I would say that none of us have the right to harm anybody .....or even to lie to others.

Coming to your question, God will for sure forgive if the murderer's feelings are genuine. But would the victim (and his/hers family would have the same feeling?)

As for sex offenders the same thing is valid, but as long as the victim has forgotten this incident and starts a new life.

If a person kills someone the have to face it and live with there choice if we forgive ourselves and gain enlightenment from our action. I believe god loves us unconditionally and does forgive us , we as humans put these conditions (stigma) on ourselves and each other. Don't you think a being that can create the universe has a bigger perspective than us. I may be idealistic thinking our creator loves us all equally and unconditionally but I believe if we could all connect better, constantly to that feeling the world would be a better place for us all.

I believe God judges a person's heart. We judge sin being that murder is horrible, and lying everyone has done it and it's not bad. But to God Sin is Sin. Not one is worst that the other. To God lying is just as bad as murdering. All of them are equal. That is why Jesus died on the cross for us, so we could be forgiven. It's tough for us to think that Jeffrey Dohmer could be up in heaven, but they claimed he became a christian in jail. I cna't judge whether he did or not it's not my place. But I do think God judges our heart, he knows when we have really apologized and regreted a sin we've done, and he knows when we don't.

Yes. God forgives all sinners. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." If the murder wants to confess his sin to God and change his/her ways then, yes God will forgive him/her. Same goes for the sex offenders or any one else out there that wants to confess their sins to God and follow him.

For the sake of His Son Who suffered the judgement due for all our sins God is able to forgive.

What does He say? Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

Do not then refuse God if He calls you, if you hear His voice.
