Of course not. They'll charge you interest rates comparable to a credit card, w/o the nice intro "no interest" offers.

Best place to ask is your bank or credit union. After all, they already have some of your money.

If they were, they wouldn't have to advertise "fast money to people with bad credit." Think about it like this...offering credit to people with bad histories is risky. To make up for the risk, you have to make more money since more people are likely to default. They do this by charging higher rates and fees. It's that simple.
