I work in a sensitive environment. I take great pride & respect for my job. A co-worker I was just getting to know (due to our age being in the same age group amongst older more familiar to themselves coworkers) was seemingly involved in a ruthless incident. Due to my association with this coworker, I was also branded as a wrong-doer, even though I was nor ever could be implicted due to my total innocence and lack of any insight as to what my co-worker was upto. This whole episode has left me down-trodden and also i feel betrayed that a co-worker could have done or even think such a thing..How do i start to rebuild my image to my superiors and co-workers at large? And how do i even start to feel better inside? How do i let the world know i am totally innocent & clueless, without comming off seeming defensive, dwelling & insistent on the sensitive subject?

just remember, that self esteem is built on what you believe about yourself. We get offended more easily, when we get afraid that someone else thinks some thing is true, about us, when it's not. But when we KNOW in our own heart, who we are as a person, it doesn't matter what others think. And if someone has a problem with you, well, all that does is show you more about who they are. They're the ones with a problem, not you.

Only you can give yourself self-respect. If that doesn't work try packin' a .357 to work.
