Well they're really high in fat and sodium (salt), which neither of those are good for you in excessive amounts, and they don't provide hardly any nutritional value. Five packs a day is a bit much... you should probably either cut back or make up for it by drinking a butt-load of water and taking a multivitamin or eating other types of food to balance out your nutrition (it also depends on whether this was a one time thing or if you eat five packs of ramen everyday!).

I live on the stuff myself. That and canned soup and protein bars. I'm a poor law student, and was a poor undergrad not too long ago, so I've been maintaining this "healthy" diet for a few years now The only time I get real home cooked food is, well, when I go home. Thanks a lot, higher education.
PS - Question in a question (and this goes out to all who wish to answer) - What's your favorite ramen noodle flavor? I'm chicken all the way.

Ramen is de facto rather tasty, and great much less costly - needless to say part of the clarification it is so tasty is that it has a great quantity of fat and sodium. A single Cup 'O Noodles has 1434 milligrams of sodium (or 60% of your reported on a regular basis intake) and 14 grams of fat... unquestionably no longer good for those on low fat/low sodium diets... That pronounced, i ought to've eaten a number of crates nicely worth in college... i like to boil the noodles, drain the water, and then upload the seasoning packet. you are able to pan fry those for a great crispier cope with!!!

5 packs of ramen a day is very bad, because of the high sodium content. Around 2000mg per package is on the borderline already. 10000mg per day is highly not recommended

It's not going to kill you or anything, but yes it is bad for your health. Ramen is basically starch, so you would get a lot of carbs, fat and sodium, but very little actual nutrients.

Not at all. As a matter of fact, you can eat it raw. Straight out of the package, you can chew the noodles like chips! It tastes pretty good to me...Try it, and let me know what you think. But about the question, I used to eat ramenn 24/7!
