Hi, how about a personalized book? Kids love to hear their name in the storyline. Go to this website http://www.tlc-expressions.com They have lots of titles like Sesame Street, Three Little Pigs, Mother Goose, Teddy Bear Land, Farm Animals, Noah's Ark and so many more. Check it out - they're very reasonably priced, and make a wonderful & unique gift... Good Luck!

My son just had his 1st birthday party Saturday. The best toy he received was this! http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2264669&cp

It is SO MUCH fun! :o) Seriously! The balls pop out of the top and JD loves trying to catch them. Well, not really catch them but you know, he's only 1. He puts his face over the top too because the air comes up, that's what gets the balls going. TOO CUTE!

He also needed clothes but didn't get much of that and we have him a savings account set up and he received about $200 in cash. All of that went into his savings account. So ... :o) Just some ideas for ya!

Good Luck!! **www.happysahm.com**

because his what? Bring a gift certificate. That way, the parents can go out and get their own choice for the child. They might appreciate the fact you are not buying a noise maker (that the child will probably be afraid of). If you feel the need to wrap something, put it in a soft-sided book so the parents can start reading to him.

When you go to the toy store look at the age group of the toys. Fisher-Price makes these toys that are called Little People (I believe that is what they are called) they are so cute. When my daughter was one she had some of those toys. Good Searching.

A good gift for a little boy is a little toy car or something. Or maybe get him something that you think he will play with alll day, without getting on your nurves.

Mmm, those Fisher-price blocks that are clear, and have little toys in the middle, little ones love those!

I think they are called peek and play, or something like that.
