It seems anymore when I talk, I can't talk straight. I'll talk to someone and I'll get ahead of my self and it'll all come out wrong. Sometimes alot giberish. I know what I want to say, but it comes out different. PLus, if i get excited or mad, I can't talk staright. If i want to talk staright, I have to slow myself down and watch myself. It's embarassing. Plus, when someone is talking to me, I'll use the wrong word for something. Is there something wrong with me? Is this a disease? I started noticing this about half a year ago. Is it because i got alot on my mind? is it stress? how can I fix this?

Can you say the Pledge of Allegiance without screwing up? If so, your problem could be related (just related) to a stammer. Singers with a speach impediment can sing a song perfectly because it's by heart. You really should have your doctor send you to a speech therapist. P.S. If you don't know the Pledge by heart try the Star spngled Banner or something you know by heart. Good luck to you. We have to get this taken care of.

Man I do this to sometimes, but not all the time. When I was younger it was more prevalent. But I think you will stop doing it in time. I was always trying to say things fast because I didn't want to take up people's time. You just really have to slow down.. if you catch yourself talking fast, correct yourself and slow down. The people will listen even if it takes 10 seconds longer.

It can be just stress, or nervousness, or it could be a symptom of other things. You should see your Doctor. Not to scare you, but my mom use to do this & she had M.S. It could have been from some of her medication, or just goes along with being ill in some way. She couldn't really make herself stop doing it, she couldn't control how words came out it seemed like, but after she said things, she would say "Thats not what I was trying to say". Anyway you should let your Doctor check you out, it's probably nothing, but make sure. Good Luck!!!

I too get this problem. I often use the wrong word, stutter when I get excited, and spend a lot of time going pfffft!!! Lol I just laugh it off. It's part of my charm I guess. So many people just look at me and say "You're crazy!" I tell them "Absolutely!!!" If you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at...think about it.
Good luck! ;)

It is probably a combination of nerves and lack of self confidence. Both issues are treatable. Visit http://www.onlinelifecoach.org and provide more details about yourself confidentially.

See your doctor. That sounds like a stroke, tumor, or other disorder.
