When it comes to political agendas, the fundamentalists are far more organized than any scientific community.

THANK GOD FOR IT! EVILUTION IS BULLSH*T.

I have no idea. However being a Christian and a scientific realist. I hold to the truth that the world has a design and therefor a designer. I believe fully in the creationist ideal, mostly. I cannot in any reasonable thought to deny evolutionism. God may have created everything but I see God as the Creator, not the one who had created. As an active creator God continues his creating, hence evolution may be the proof of God's continuing creation.

If they take evolution out of the schools that would deny any reasonable scientific proof of God. However they forget how scientific the Bible actually is.

We did not descend from Apes but we are different from one another with hair eyes and skin colour from other people.

I don't think evolution will ever be taken out of schools, it is a flawed theory, but the creation theory is even more ridiculous when attempting to prove in the scientific sense.

If religion governs government and schools, we will be no better off than secular societies like Iran where religion and is the government. We don't have to think too far back in history to see what the Catholic Church did during the Inquisition's in the name of God. So I can't support any society where religion is the dominant force regardless of how good the intention is.

No, because evolution has science on its side. In order to convince educators to take away evolution, you can't just use politics. You have to present a scientific case for why there is another theory (scientific theory) that comes close to being as valid as evolution. Since that isn't happening any time soon, evolution lives on.

hate to say this in such a pessimistic fashion but I'm afraid these nutjobers are in some places already at it!

as far as the political agendas - they have nothing better to do then to just have agendas , while the rest of the community gets an education in sciences ,so when the agenda people get sick , we science buffs can help them feel better! thats all we are good for!

Don't think it will be taken out completely, but it will be scaled way back. As you see by some of your answers, just what this theory is doing to some people.

And the amazing thing is that the scientists that do the research call it a theory, them selves. So just how can adults come on here and call it a fact? Absurd.

When Darwin dreamed up the idea of evolution, even he would never have believed how far it would go. Evolution is the single, biggest lie ever told. But, let's say that I agreed with the theory, and everyone else did to, what difference would that make? How will our future be better?

As soon as the fundamentalists can convince enough people that science is dumb because it says we're monkeys, and successfully and fully erode away the separation of church and state. Once that happens, they can and will teach anything they want. Until then, I'll continue to believe scientific facts, and not worry about whether knowing the difference between good and evil is a sin.

While it may be true that the fundementalists appear to have the upper hand, if you study history, there has always been a backlash when the goverment goes too far with ridiculous religous agendas.

Never. Realistically the mythological beliefs of the religious will be removed from the few Bronze Age thinking states that have placed them in their curriculum by federal law.

Satan will ensure that his counterfeit of how things came to be will remain in schools and that more and more of how things really came to be will be removed. People forget that satan counterfeits just about everything God does. Evolution is one of these.evolution instead of creation...homosexuality instead of the real man and woman relationships....and the list goes on..and satan will continue conterfeiting till the end.

Realistically, I think never. It just too well accepted.

Thoguh with the way it's being taught (people still think human evolved FROM monkeys and apes, not that humans, apes, and monkeys evolved from a similar source...) it might as well be taken out for al the good it's doing.
