when i get home from school, and after doing homework & chores, i am too tired to work out. how can i have enough energy to work out? i do get enough sleep at night, so it most likely isn't that.

Exercise gives you energy, not the other way around. People say they are too tired to exercise, when really, if they would exercise, they would be a lot less tired.

Start out slowly, e.g. 20 min a day 3 times per week. Find something fun that will get you to sweat. Make sure you stretch before and afterwards. At first it will be hard, but you'll get used to it and grow to like it. Don't exercise just before you go to bed because it will affect your sleep. Do it right after school and before dinner, or in the morning.

Everyone has days when they feel "too tired." Tell yourself that you will only do it for five minutes, and then if you really want to stop, you will. Usually, once you start, you'll want to go all the way.

The more you exercise the more energy you will have. It sucks, but the only way is to start exercising a little every day even though you are tired and you will notice that it gets easier and you have more energy.

Good luck
