my soon to be husband hasnt filed taxes in years. how do i find out the last time he filed and start working to file all of them? it is keeping us from getting married because we need to have it handled before.

Call the IRS (1-800-829-1040). He needs to get the records that the IRS has on his account. They can tell you the last time that he filed. They would have print outs of all of the W2s and 1099s that you need. How you file the returns is up to you. You just need to get them filed.

It was a good idea to delay the wedding plans because of this.
Rule 1) Never marry someone with tax issues
Rule 2) Never forget Rule 1).

He can call the IRS and they'll be able to tell them. They won't give you info about his returns. You're wise to get this straightened out, before you get married.
