I'm trying to find the retail value of my car. It's a 1994 Geo Tracker. I tried Kelley Blue Book and they don't even have Geo as a make of a car? Why??? Are there any other websites that can give me an estimate?

Kelly Blue Book is a Joke. Dealers(as well as Banks)look at NADA value. Check out the NADA price guide. It's more reliable.

Insurance companies do NOT use Kelly Blue Book - so the answer to your question would be none of the values in Kelly Blue Book. They also do not use Red Book or Black Book. Not all insurance companies use a book. Some have a market survey program ( like CCC or Total Logic) that they use. They input the info on your vehicle and the program gives a value. If a company uses a book its the NADA (National Automobile Dealers Association). However, that does not mean you automatically get the book value. Usually a company starts with the retail value - then they add/subtract from the retail value for mileage and options the vehicle has. They will also add or subtract for the vehicles condition. For example - if you just put new tires on the car and can give them the receipt they will add a little to the value - if the car has faded paint or rust, they subtract. Keep in mind - not everything you do to a car adds to its value - if you just put on a timing belt - tell the insurance company about it but it may not add to the vehicles value since a timing belt is maintenance you have to do so the car will run. They also usually subtract a detail charge from the retail value. The most important thing- it to take an honest look at your car. Really could you have actually sold it and someone actually paid the highest retail value? Most cars have some wear and tear and are not the "peach" their owners think they are.

Try the Kelly Blue Book online. http://www.kbb.com

Click on SUV under Used Cars and go from there. It's hard to give you a value without knowing the details about your SUV. eg. trim packages, auto or manual tranny, mileage.

Yes, put that in autotrader. See what others are selling it for.

I would go to Edmunds.com or AutoTrader.com to find out.
