I grow weary of answering this same question over and over again. The reason that we, as Christians, are 'picked on' is simply because we bring it upon ourselves. We tell other people that they are wrong, and we push one faith and one God. I'm here today to tell you that we have no 100% guarantee that we are the only ones who are right. We have what a book says. A book that was written by men. People hate us because we are hypocritical and spiteful. Christians, out of the many religious groups that I have come in contact with, are the most hateful, spiteful, bigoted people I have ever had the misfortune of meeting - yes my own faith. It is because of those character traits that people despise us. They liked out Christ, but the Christians are nothing like him.

Because unfortunately, the image of all Christian's is being tarnished by the actions of extremists within the faith. Tolerance which is supposed to be a precept of all religions seems to have been supplanted by a great deal of intolerance. Also, our country's leaders have politicized Christianity making it one of their primary agendas which, due to their utter incompetence, has not boded well for people's perception of Christians and Christianity. Imho.

For two reasons, one because they are afraid of what you know and they don't and two because of other self righteous people claiming to be Christians who are judgmental. They see another one and think he's just like the others who don't live by what Christianity is about. Being non-judgmental. Instead of only going by the parts of the Bible which suits their own bigotry.

Being as I was once one, I hate the idea that they mislead people into a false security net. Christianity tries to invade public instituations, make laws, and holds back medical research. I am not trying to be mean I am trying to point out that it doesn't make sense.

I would say it is the other way round. Christians on here refer to their religion as the only religion. It is not. In fact Christians are in a minority in the world.

I think a lot of it is that many people feel Christians are not open minded enough to the beliefs of others. They just try to stick their beliefs down our throats w/o listening to our point of view.

there are mean people on here
but they are usually for equal rights and mean to everyone
then we have mean Christians also who are mean to non Christians
we also have some who hate Muslims
we have atheists who are mean to religious people in general
you getting the picture here ?
but there are many amazing people also

People wouldnt be if the Christians wouldnt try and shove their ideas on everyone. If they would just say their ideas and leave it at that it would be ok, but no... they want to keep on w/ it until you have to flip out on them to shut them up!!
