Do you realize that even if Intelligent Design was substantiated it would not support the Bible?

It would support Deism, a "blind watchmaker" Creator that set the universe in motion and got out of the way -- and evolution would still serve as the mode by which life obtained different forms.
Collections of stories like Bibles, Korans and Vedas would look sillier and sillier being shelved anywhere other than Mythology. Discovery of a Supreme Being doesn't make YOUR previous conception of deity anymore accurate than the conceptions that called it Zeus, Osiris or Ahura Mazda.

There is no platform in science to explain or support the Spiritual & Supernatural form of God & the Heavenly Hosts.
Science cannot be used to "supplant" the belief in God....

First, as im sure you know deism was founded long after the bible was written. It was founded around the 17th century.
The father of deism was edward herbert.
In the realm of religion, Herbert believed that there were five common notions.

There is one Supreme God.
He ought to be worshipped.
Virtue and piety are the chief parts of divine worship.
We ought to be sorry for our sins and repent of them
Divine goodness doth dispense rewards and punishments both in this life and after it.

Obviously you can see striking similarity’s between the earlier religion of Christianity and deism. The main difference is that deism rejects all religious books. It rejects the bible as the word of god. Instead, deism relies on human reason and our senses to reveal god.

First let me make a few points. Herbert says we ought to be sorry for our sins and repent of them. Doesn't that sound familiar. Correct me if im wrong but it seems that idea came from one of the books that is rejected by deism.

As for evolution it would be great if it was a scientific fact and there were no missing links. Microevolution can be proven but macroevolution really cannot as of yet. Until it is proven it is just another theory.

The bible says that god created the universe. Proof of intelligent design would support that particular part of the bible. It would not substantiate logically that the bible or any other religious book is now all of the sudden true.However,
deism is also included in that statement. Atheists will be the only ones disappointed by proof of intelligent design.
Intelligent design means only exactly what is implies nothing more and nothing less. In order to make the conclusion that the universe was set in motion and then left alone you make assumptions about the designer, Saying that the supreme being is intelligent is the only accurate statement that can be made. Truth is we haven’t even scratched the surface of understanding ourselves, much less the intelligence that is responsible for it all.
