why is it that we have to have a license to drive a car and get married but not to have children?

Because in order for there to be a license that would mean that there would have to be some way to control conception. Goodluck enforcing that also there would have to be guidelines and rules for parenting and nobody wants the government regulating their body/parenting methods. Whose to say what makes a good mom or dad anyways?

I see what you are saying, but in order to do that, the government would have to control who could have sex and when. Not to mention controlling how many kids a family could have. Even though I am married and my husband and I are financially stable, what would stop some government official from saying that 6 kids is too many and not allowing me to have more? That's why you don't see something like that happening.

Who's going to register to have sex??? And if you did have to have a license and you didn't get one and got pregnant what then??? Forced abortion??? I see your point, but no way to enforce it. Especially when you have teen and pre-teens out there having sex and not even know how they got pregnant.
