I agree Sister, we weren't, but don't you think it would be better if we as a civilization did our best to create something beautiful and live a more noble and harmonious life. But you're right, it might be too late..... still, why not go out with class, with integrity.

The issue with global warming is how humans are speeding up the process. Yes global warming is a natural cycle, but the damage we have done since the industrial revolution would have taken the Earth thousands of years on its own. Many changes need to made or will more than significantly reduce the time that we have on this Earth. People need to WAKE UP and make real changes in their everyday lives. If not for yourself then for your grandchildren, because they are the ones who are going to suffer from our stupidity.

Ah! A voice of reason and education.
Yes! It is a natural cycle but because of what humans have added to it, it will be worse then it normally would be. The sun is also adding its two cents into the mix too, it's cycle is now giving off more heat. Lovely.
No! We weren't meant to be here forever and being what we have done to this planet in the short time we have been here, it's way passed time when we should go.
At no time, in the history of the planet, has one species done more to ruin this little orb then humans.

I'm not personally worried, but if you are younger, you should be. I won't be alive for the worst effects, but I do want to leave this planet in good shape for my son.
One of the reasons some people don't worry is because the effects are slow to manifest. Heroin screws you up right away, tobacco takes much longer, so some people don't see the danger.
Not being here forever is a given, but not an excuse for negligence that ruins a large part of our environment.

People don't want to die, plus its not a very natural cycle, this "cycle" is a very nasty one. First of all global warming will raise the ocean levels, flooding sea level and under sea level land. Also people will start to die of "heat strokes" or "heat waves." which by the way already happened in chicago. Ah yes, also many animals will become extinct by this controversy.

I for one would like to see humanity live on.

Also, global warming will not only affect humans. The planet may not be able to support most life forms.

Maybe you should watch An Inconvenient Truth. The Earth does have natural cycles of ice ages and warming, but there's nothing natural about the extreme carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere.

Even if it is a natural cycle we, humans are still polluting the air and environment. Why not take care of what we have instead of pushing it farther into doomsday?

"We" may not be meant to be here 4ever but we need to preserve the Earth for those who come after use. Those meaning people, animals, or whatever may come after us. We are using all of the Earth's resources and soon there will be nothing left for our predecessors.

Global Warming is a very serious issue here. We are the ones that have brought it on to be. It's up to us to help stop this 'cycle'.
