... who has informed me that he ate chili today and will be even MORE flatulent than usual on our way home.

How should I feel about this? Angry? Because I have to admit, that's the direction I am leaning.

Oh and let me add - HE is driving this week, in HIS vehicle.

Well, the 'adult' thing to do is to take the guy out for a beer or such at lunch time or after work and have a serious discussion. Your friend may be using humor to deny his condition or offset the problem deal thru that and see if you can get a resolution.

If not, then ultimately you will have to decide to accept his by-products as gross as it is, or join a new car pool.

Go find a cork and fashion a butt-plug for this flatulent friend. Put some glue on it so that it won't become dislodged.
However, that will bring up the problem of applying said butt-plug. Assuming that he does apply it, can you trust him? Maybe since he did warn you in advance.
If you want to be self-reliant, I would find the nearest Army surplus store and buy a gas mask or hazmat suit.

This person is immune to Beano. I have also experienced his "talent" before. Once he did it on my desk and I swear it sounded and felt like tremors. I could not return for at least 30 minutes. He needs to get his anal sphincter checked out for possible damage.

You are in your right to be indignant, as he has had his way with my automobile numerous times too.

Yes, I would be pretty angry. My brother is lactose intolerant and
he could peel paint with his. Maybe you should tell him he needs to work on his "problem". Or if he doesn't take that hint
maybe someone should buy him a bottle of beano.

I would have put Beano in that person's chili. That way there will Beano gas later.

I think that fact that ur friend warned u ahead of time was nice and thoughtful. Perhaps you only care and/or love this friend when he/she is not gassy. Which is pretty crappy...no pun intended.
