and to leave my church...I was quite amazed at the answers.

I asked tongue-in-cheek and received some very disturbing responses from fundies, calling themselves Christians.

Do you really think that I would give up my life for your beliefs...based on your interpretation of the scripture.

Get real...

Why can't fundies realize, they do not have the inside track to life...they are not God...they do not have all of the answers.

Question to the fundies, if someone told you to leave your spouse and your church because of their beliefs on scripture ...would you?

You are a bunch of self-righteous, arrogant people. You are not God...you do not have all of the answers...no matter what you think. You are no better than the extremist fundamentalists in other religions...you think your way, is the only way.

I will pray for your souls.

You are absolutly correct in what you say.....

My son was attending a christian school when he was in grade 3 to 5. I pulled him out because the behavior of the other students was far worse then the public schools around,,,
One thing that bothered me and i was an advocate against this was that kids attending this christain school could not wear any tank tops or sleeveless tops of any kind,, boys and girls included. (These are grade 1 - 6 kids) When asked why I was told its inapropiate attire .. I asked for who? they are small kids ... I guess they were afraid to have their sexually repressed teachers from getting any naughty ideas about children showing their arms..
I'm not saying all christain schools are bad and have bad rules,,, there are some truly wonderful people all over .. But you have to make the choice for yourself and not base it on what others believe is moral or not..

Churches are made up of people they tend to impliment what they think is immoral... but some of those kids were very mean and bully's.. That should have been their real focus.

Be well

May I clarify something here? It may be a minor point...

It isn't the fundies who came down on you. It's the Religious Right, a dangerous subclass.

My brother and sister-in-law are Pentacostal Fundamentalist preachers and they don't judge anybody.

They even like me and I'm an old pagan!

I hope you and your partner have a happy life.

You are so right it is not up too us to judge you . Search the scriptures yourself. find the truth your self. But first you must make God the Lord of your life. ask God to show you thru his written word what he expects and wants for your life. We are all wonderfully made by God and HE has a plan for every life. find out what he wants from you and YOU will find the answer to your Question. Will pray that you find peace with yourself in the center of GOD'S will.

I never get people like this....

First of all, why do you care?

If you were truly interested in becoming a follower of Jesus Christ, then you would have read the Word of God (Bible) yourself to see what it says.

If you were truly interested, you wouldn't have opened yourself up like this to even pose the question.

You are correct, we aren't GOD, but we can read....and the Bible states that it is an abomination. That's not our words, it's His words.

But why all of the name calling? I think you just wanted a reason to get mad and make yourself feel better....

We are all sinners. Do I personally think that there will be gays up in heaven? Of course I do. Only God knows their hearts.....

Jesus does love you.

I don't want to judge you because I am not without sin but are you sure your faith is real? The Bible clearly says that homosexuality is a sin. The same Bible that says sins lead to death.

If you live your life in sin, you will die... that's the message of the Bible. It is perfectly clear and undeniable.

The same is right for any other sin. You cannot call yourself a Christian and constantly cheat on your wife. You cannot call yourself a Christian and be hateful. You cannot call yourself a Christian and lie. Christians must fight sin, not live in it.

Love is never wrong. It is the inappropriate expression of love that is the problem. And Christian 'fundies' aren't judging you. They are merely quoting what God has said on the matter. We suffer from our own sins, just as you do. But we admit our sin and try to repent of it. Can you say the same?

No one has the right to judge you. Only God himself will do that on judgment day. God loves all..I believe that even gay's and lesbians go to heaven. As long as you lived a good life it doesn't matter. I wish I had seen your question you are talking about. You do NOT have to leave your relationship or your church to be saved.

Good for you for standing up for your relationship and your personal belief. I think god would be very proud of you. I have been married 11 yrs and would never think of giving up my husband and children for someone Else's interpretation of my religion. I am a Christan and proud to be but I do not feel that god would not want homosexuals to have a loving a fulfilling relationship. I wish you continued success in your relationship and may you be surrounded by loving and nonjudgmental Christan's who see you as a loving human being. I hope that you do realize not all of us are as narrow minded as the ones who answered your previous question. God bless.

If you are living in a homosexual lifestyle, you are the one that needs prayers my friend. You will try this very same conversation out on the Almighty when you see him too but, you will know that it is ridiculous because at that time you will be facing Truth. It is not just fundies that renounce your lifestyle.
