Try the Nuby brand sippy cups, they have a spout that is shaped like a regular sippy cup spout, but is soft like a bottle nipple. My daughters each wouldn't use any other sippy and I had the same problem. The softness of the spout may make her think its like the bottle that shes used to and will take to it more easily. I know the Nuby brand is sold at Wal-Marts in my area and I assume they're sold at others ones accross the country as well.

My children are ages 3&4 they both love milk. When my youngest started drinking out of a sippy she took to it right away, yet with my son I had to change the flow of the liquid. The valves in the cups can be either fast or slow, you may want to switch it around. The other thing is, you may want to add a little water to the milk so it won't be so thick, or flavor it with ovaltin.

There could be a few things for you to try. One, change sippy cup brands. The milk could be coming out too quickly. The other is maybe she doesn't like the milk. Have you tried giving her organic milk? It tastes a lot better than regular milk.

I had friends that had this problem with their kids. They would just leave the cup out so the baby could drink from it when she got thirsty. (Of course checking to make sure the milk isn't getting warm or going bad) And then just not offer anything else to drink. It didn't take long before they would drink from the sippy cup. Of course you also have to make sure they are dehydrating.

Try a different type of sippy cup. You could also water down the milk a little bit & see if that helps.

She just won't drink milk in the cup? Hmm. Maybe its too thick? Maybe you could add a little bit of water? like 1 oz of water per 8 oz bottle. What kind of bottles did you use? I know Avent makes a spout that you use instead of the nipple. Its a transition to a bottle. It might just be that she associates milk with the bottle, and the comfort feelings of mommy holding her? Does she just cry until she gets that upset or does she just not like milk? Maybe in the bottle she accepts it as food, and thinks of the cup as something for a drink, not meal.

you have taught her that via throwing a large adequate tantrum, she'll get what she needs. get rid of your bottles so which you will not cave returned. proceed to supply her milk in her cup a large number of the time, and water or juice each now after which to confirm she does not get dehydrated. ultimately she will cave. If she takes the sippy cup particularly some the time, then she will do it. She only doens't want to, and specific is conscious which you will provide way. I consider the cups with the mushy ideas nevertheless, some childrens only hate the way the puzzling plastic feels.

I would say maybe that particular sippy cup flows to fast and causes her to gag. Try a different brand, I always liked the evenflow brand when my kids were young.
