Arnica gel gets rid of bruises quickly but for best results you should put it on as quickly as possible after the initial contact.

Arnica is also very helpful for sore muscles.

EGADS! I hope the poster who said easy bruising means low iron would check his facts before "speaking"...easy bruising DOES NOT necessarilty mean low iron...I have a blood disorder called Hereditary Hemchromatosis (too much iron, a disorder that is so common that the incidence rate is higher than once thought, and testing should be part of a regular CBC but is not...it's that common) that has almost IDENTICAL symptoms as aenemia...and I bruise like a banana!!! Diabetes can also cause excessive bruising...as can plain ol' thin skin.....
I used to put toothpaste on bruises...time is really the only healer...

Ways to alleviate a subcutaneous hematoma...There are three types of bruises:

Subcutaneous -- beneath the skin,
Intramuscular -- within the belly of the underlying muscle
Periosteal -- bone bruise

For a "skin" bruise, there really isn't anything you can really do to rid yourself of one faster. You can do something about the swelling, but not as much the discolouration.

Bruises are blood vessels that have busted under the skin and the blood goes underneath the skin and it turns black and brown when it starts to deterriorate.

The body must reabsorb the blood and that takes time. There is no "home remedy" that will make this process faster. You can try creams to hide the bruise, but, thats about it.

I wish you well...

A bruise is a collection of blood underneath the skin. It goes away by being reabsorbed by the body. VERY GENTLE massage or other things that improve circulation to the area may help speed up the process, but nothing you apply to the skin will help much.

I think rubbing the bruise not to hard on a daily basis will help reabsorb the blood and if the bruise is on the leg walking helps the circulation.
