Pagan, eclectic, translator, shamanic councellor, aura consultant. I'm working from my home so that gives me an opportunity to organise my own schedule. I guess my spirituality has influenced my choice of work in the sense that I have always avoided 9 to 5 office jobs. Waste of time, if you ask me. Blessed be.

I have always worked to Live, but after the first few adult years ended up in positions which helped people in some way. A lot of time was spent in Government jobs - usually between the rock of public enquiry and the hard place of Government policy. it has always been 'interesting' in a Confuscian sort of way, but being the flexible buffer (insulation?) between them has been rewarding. My religion has been eclectic, from an early exposure to a group which spoke in tongues, nominally Christian, through then Anglican church as a server (I still love ritual), and finally initiated as a witch in 1984.
So I guess there hasn't been much of a connection between my occupations and my beliefs. It's all still a work in progress, and that's the way I like it. Life is fun.
Oh! Incidentally, I graduated as a massage therapist in 1992 after part time study, and still have patients - some even older than me (which is a challenge)!

You already know visiting stone circles in Ireland and Switzerland would be groovy. I'm just lucky to have a real job now. Been doing the fast-food/gas station thing for far too long.

I'm a Jain and many years ago the majority of us owned a business. We did, but I think most of us don't have one anymore. I used to work in a government department as an administrator before I went back to college.

I am a Christian who opted to be a stay at home Mom and now Grandma. I enjoy life thoroughly. I have 5 brothers and one sister who are all professional people. In our entire extended family we have Doctors, Dentist, Nurses, Teachers, Preacher, Principal, Airport Dispatcher, Top Cytologist before retirement in Kansas City, Inspector, Computer specialist with MBA, Swimming champion, Business owner, police officer, and on and on. I guess I am the black sheep
when it comes to professions in today's world but I am happy. And you? Mmm Hi Riegan, thank you for your comment. Believe me it was not an easy choice way back when because the word of the day was that women must work. I got a lot of flack for my choice. Now after all these years people are once again deciding to tighten up their belts and have one bread winner in the family. Good for them, good for the families, and good for our country in my opinion. Kids are not going to remember all the little junk you get them but they will remember how we were with them. Mmm

As a Christian, I believe that each person is given gifts and talents by God. In wanting to serve God, I looked at the gifts and talents and asked for wisdom and direction in determining what I should do in my career.
I know that I enjoy working with people and have a heart to want to help others overcome barriers to employment. I'm also good at HR/employment issues and love to be a supportive manager. So I went back to school (graduate April 29th!!) and am in training as a restaurant manager in a large food chain. I didn't go to school to learn how to flip burgers, lol. But I do get to use my training, gifts and talents to motivate, encourage, help, support and train my crew to be their best.
So, while I don't preach hellfire and brimstone at them, I try to show God's love to them in terms of being compassionate and helping them to achieve what they are capable of achieving. I'm also very blessed with an amazing crew of people to serve as their leader.

Huh???? Religion? Spirituality is a way of life. It runs through everything you do, including your career. Religion is something else in a lot of cases. Your intent is not clear.
