You being on such a hefty dose of clonazepam makes me realize how hard and painful this is for you. In regards to the treament and diagnosis of your burning mouth syndrome, have you had it diagnosed by a second opinion doctor? I ask because it may be a fungal infection that has flared up. Or it could be a case of erosive lichen planus. Either way there is treatment that involves steroid therapy and/or antifungals.

Dental treatment sometimes involves drying the mouth out considerably. When this happens your nerve endings could get the sensation of a stressful episode and so they begin to fire off, causing you pain. Go see about a 100% second or third doctor opinion so that maybe they can treat your disease and just not the symptoms. There are oral rinses that contain an anesthetic that may help you, rincinol is what comes to mind. I've given this to a patient of mine who had some Burning mouth symptoms that she said helped her quite a bit.

i'm a qualified dental nurse. the only subject i will think of of is that yuo have an allergic reaction to a minimum of a few thing you're making use of, or some thing that has those days been geared up on your mouth. the main hassle-unfastened reasons of this sort of reaction, I even have considered, are reactions to the acrylic of dentures or the adhesive used to repair them. i'm sorry i could no longer be of greater help. i'd additionally propose you to work out a dentist specialising in homeopathy, they may well be waiting to prescribe some unconvention drugs to alleviate the soreness.

I don't have an answer but I've too got this burning sensation in my month for two years and I didn't know there was a medication for it. I have just learned to live with it when mine gets really bad I just take normal pain killers(syndols) maybe that all you need cause your body gets customed to one medication that it doesn't help anymore.
