I don't think it is wrong if they are young children. My son loves stripping off if we go to the beach he loves playing in the sea naked. I personally don't think it should be an issue kids need to learn and explore different things in life. I know when I was little I ran around naked and so did my friends. I think it is just part of growing up.

If we were on our own property, I would let my children run around in a diaper or pullups and a t-shirt. Once they're old enough to be in actual underwear, my kids wear clothes outside the house.
If I were at a park, or any other public place, I would keep them dressed. Sure, kids need freedom, but in public places, I don't know that there aren't predators around, or some self-righteous soul ready to call authorities for my letting my kids run around with no clothes on.
True story: my five year old ran outside wearing his spider-man underoos shortly after we moved to the apartment complex we live in. Two weeks later, we passed a teenage boy and Cameron greeted him. When I asked Cameron how he knew the boy, he said the boy took pictures of him in his underwear (using his cell phone). To my way of thinking, there is NO instance where a teenage boy should take pictures of a mostly-naked child. My kids are dressed before I will so much as unlock the deadbolt these days.

While I certainly don't find this to be disgusting I do understand what the lady was talking about. You just can't let kids run around half dressed because a lot of perverts hang out at the park looking for things like this.. It's best to keep this kind of behaviour at home where you know the kids are well protected. I wouldn't let my child run around half naked where some weirdo could watch him.

I don't neccessarily think it's morally wrong, but there are a few things you should consider. A lot of sex offenders like to scope out children at parks, and even if you don't see them there, doesn't mean they're not watching from further away. Two convicted sex offenders were arrested in my area watching children at the local parks, and had apparently been doing it for a while but no one knew who they were, so didn't report it. On top of that, older kids may make fun of them causing hurt feelings. But like I said, wrong, no not at all. Just be cautious. By the way, I let my children run around in diapers and undies in the privacy-fenced backyard. They love the freedom (neither one has been a fan of clothing), and I just apply extra sunscreen (we live near the beach in Florida, sun is intense).

hi,
so many people have there idea of how someone other than themselves should dress there child or raise that child. I was always taught that you dress the child the way the weather feel to you. so if the weather is appealing to you and you feel that if you were a child of that age that you would go out topless or in just in knickers then that's what you do. don't worry about others everyone has opinions and feel that there way is the best. yet you are the one who is raising the child so it is your choice.

If the kids are very young, like 1-3 years old, let them run around in there underthings. I could barely keep clothes on my kid when she was small. Any older than that would be inappropriate. Most parents in my area let their babies up to 3 years old run around in diapers and underwear. I see nothing wrong with it.

I would let my child do this at home in the privacy of our backyard but i wouldn't do it in a public park simply because of perverts. I see nothing wrong with letting babies run around in a diaper on hot days but once a child starts wearing underpants i wouldn't let them in public. Its a sad world we live in when we have to think about when and where we can let our kids run around in on hot days because they might get ogled by a pervert.!

I do not think it is ok mainly because there are so many perverts out there today, and if it offends other people then you shouldn't do it in a public place, plus all the other kids might want to start taking their pants off and then it would cause a fight with their parents and those kids, you know kids always want to copy other kids. I have always just kept a pair of pants and panties in my van for accidents.

Diaper-butt's OK, but if they're old enough for real underpants, then they need clothes. Sorry.
There's a point where it's not a matter of what's socially correct so much as what do you want to teach your children?
