My one year old son has been having some issues with constipation. For the last three days he's had pebble stools, until yesterday when I gave him some apple juice and he had one normal stool. Today it's back to the pebbles, then he had a small stool that was soft, but was a really really light tan/sandy color (only in color). I've introduced him to peanut butter in the last few days. Could that be the cause of the constipation and the funny colored stools?

Yes. Peanut butter can be very constipating. As well as dairy products. The color isn't such an issue really. Decrease pb and dairy and increase water and juice.

Yes, but if you keep the fruit juices in the diet it will be alright........ Welchs Grape juice will yield a green stool just thought you might want the heads up on that one.

Oh yeah, wait until you see what colored yogurt does. I think it's the peanut butter, As long as it's not watery (like diarrhea) I think you're ok.

Feed him allot of beets, and see what happens, you will freak. Red poop. What do you mean thumbs down. The first time I fed my son beets I almost fell out. My mother laughed her head off. Fell rite on the table, and to the floor.
